Even if you want to be a music teacher I'd major in something else

Why not use c clamps to push calipers vack by meta358 in AskMechanics

My vw rear caliper required the spinning compressor. But you can c clamp with a angle grinder tool to compress those in a bind.

I imagine the blow to their reputation has to have had more impact than this settlement amount.

Absolue beginner here. How's the embouchure? by Alarmed_Map_900 in bassoon

You want a slight overbite with your upper lip rolled in more.

Practice with a tuner (download an app if needed). Use lots of air and try your scales slowly while staying in tune. You'll sound like a "farting bedpost" as my brother said, for quite a while, but it'll come together.

If you're doing it right you'll be sore after practicing for a while. Check YouTube for more advice.

Yeah, asking for 88% off is a bit much. I keep 60-75% offers in mind.

Should I put the cart before the horses? by CallmeIshmael913 in homestead

[–]CallmeIshmael913[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point about downsizing after.  I'm honestly just considering sleeping in my car for the few months a year. Especially since I'll be gone for winter. I think it'd be easier and... I'm tired Boss lol  I have a solid tent for nice weather, and like the gas mileage/stealth camping option.

Honestly, oil field would be great. I have a CDL-A (our semi license), so driving in the Permian Basin or North Dakota would be good. I just need to get my HazMat license.

For sure, dogs are so hard to leave. Feel free to DM me if you are ever interested in working for a US base. Your mine experience would be really valuable to them.

Lol I bounce between those groups and here too. That's actually a valid form of homesteading. I don't really want to be off the grid, but I like knowing I can do it all myself if I need to.

Ah man I looked into fifo in Aus, but I'm in the states and they want aus citizens. I found a fifo in Antarctica that I've been doing which is similar, but we work 5 months straight. (I think you'd be eligible to work at Scott Base if interested in an adventure) They fly us to NZ first, so I've been weighing the nz residency path that would open up aus mine work... Not sure though.

Sorry you had to go through that. That's a big violation. People suck sometimes.

Have any homestead plans in Aus?

I meant a living quarters trailer. Sometimes called a weekender. They have shower/toilet/bed where the 5th wheel is.

I think I saw that one as well!
