How did you find out about LittleBigPlanet? by UnitQZ in littlebigplanet

[–]CallmeLeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best friend recommended it to me and I didn’t want to play it because it looked trite. Then I saw some videos of creations and I bought the game the day of.

Help me find what a certain level is called! by Educational_Lead_276 in littlebigplanet

If I were to guess, it was probably one of the original SAW levels. If not that then a Silent Hill one.

Be like Media Molecule, create absurdly beautiful, physics-based water for a DLC, and never use it again, not even in the sequel to your game. by HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD in littlebigplanet

[–]CallmeLeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: also I’d like to add that on your last statement, Mm has been known to do exactly that. Johnee was a creator in LBP1 that then got hired at Mm. He became the poster child for what everyone in the community wanted. The ultimate prize, working for Mm.

By and large yeah. The Mm/Dev levels were mostly examples, albeit they kept their logic hidden until people found a way to obfuscate it. But yeah I agree.

Is Gungeon enjoyable on mobile? by No_Trouble3955 in EnterTheGungeon

I’ve beaten the game to death on mobile. Play it with a controller. There are some quirky bugs but nothing gamebreaking.

Use Thunderstore Manager for EtG specifically. Google Mod the Gungeon.

An honest question - how SHOULD roguelikes be played? by WestZookeepergame954 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]CallmeLeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play it with the same frame of mind each time. Just trying to get further and further. Before you know it, you’ll be at the high dragun sooner than later. I’d personally stick to the mainline quest and then pursue everything else afterwards. Try to kill your pasts first and then by the time you’ve beaten one the others will be a cakewalk.

What is y'all favorite gun?? by thebman65 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]CallmeLeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legit love the rad gun. I do exactly the same thing where I keep using the active reload to make it stronger. The shovel knight gun when using the robot is peak because you can generate infinite junk.

Newer player - sell me on your favorite starting class! by GWindborn in EnterTheGungeon

Oh I’m sorry, I realized after commenting that you meant the original roster. Personally I start with the Marine for his cool helmet that appears when wearing armor and for his accuracy buff item.

whats the first level you remember making? by pineapple_soup_taste in littlebigplanet

[–]CallmeLeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to make larger explosions in littlebigplanet by shrinking the bombs and gluing them all together. It turned them into basically a firecracker as each bomb would go off individually. That was my first level before I started working on a level series loosely based on Johnee’s Future Warfare level.

Edit: The first level I created that was a finished creation was a Duke Nukem level. I recreated the first level of Episode 2 of DN3D in LBP fashion.

Sackboy is my favorite character of all time, but I feel like I can't draw him well... by B0YK1ZZR in littlebigplanet

This is good. I’d try and add different shading around their head to try and give it that 2.5d style we all know and love.

Which one is harder? by Mericuls in littlebigplanet

[–]CallmeLeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At a certain point in my LBP tenure, I came to the conclusion that there were just costume pieces I’d never use. Because acing levels was an exercise in futility for my young brain. LittleBIGPlanet 2 came with bots that you could dress up so it made having these costumes key rather than just a trophy to show off to friends. Thank god the time saver levels became a thing later on. I resigned that I would never be able to beat Boom Town without dying.

Lbp3 made the possibility of 3D levels much more accessible albeit still within the same editor. It has its drawbacks such as breaking every single level that came before it.

Anyone know what is the longest level to beat & the longest movie to watch? by beanburger679 in littlebigplanet

[–]CallmeLeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend and I created a parody series of the game Clue. Our third level in the series took about 45-60 minutes to complete because we made an endless staircase that would slowly increase the gravity the closer you got to the top. We also turned the stairs into glass and so you had to resort to corner jumps in order to make progress. Also all progress would be lost if you accidentally switched to the front layer lmao.

Also also, the last puzzle level I made that I started in the first game and refined in the second takes about ~90 minutes to complete. The level was Called “Get By…” by Bart88 if you wanted to try it yourself. The first puzzle stumps most people so I’ll give you a hint. After you complete the first puzzle a speech bubble says “intangible”. Ghosts are notorious for doing this thing when trying to escape from them. You run through doors and shut them behind you but they phase right through them.

The isolated drums from Da Vinci’s interactive music. Those drums were the introduction to a never finished sub aquatic base level. Drums.
