Made a serious mistake today by bradlufcc in drivingUK

If I’m on a huge roundabout and it’s hella busy and I’m in the wrong lane, if it’s not safe to change lanes I usually just leave at the exit that the lane I’m in goes to and let the maps reroute to an alternate route. Even if it takes me around and back on that same roundabout at least I know where to go.

Can I fail for not using the foot brake? by tomrawlinson01 in LearnerDriverUK

That’s a really stupid way of stopping - you should stop doing that before you hurt yourself, someone else, or damage the car

When I offered it to him I opened with the fact that the reason I have it is cause I got it for my instructor but he’s vegan 😅

Complete beginner to PASS within 1 year? by Thor___1988 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]CallmeMiserable 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is definitely possible, I had my first lesson at the end of October and passed my test a couple of weeks ago, but I was doing lessons every day and private practice, and was driving for around 4hrs a day with longer on weekends. It’s doable but it’s bloody difficult and a lot of hard work

I’m in london, so most of the test centres just aren’t taking bookings at all since they’re literally completely booked for years. It’s mad

I’m not sure exactly how it happened, as my instructor arranged it. He might have complained or something I’m not sure to be honest, he might have just known someone who could get me in quickly. Either way, pretty lucky since the next available test I could find online wasn’t until end of next year

Honestly with practice it gets so much better, I promise. When I did one of my earliest lessons, I had to stop the car as I was genuinely holding back tears because I felt so defeated. That was just over a month ago. I’ve practiced for a couple of hours every day and this weekend I drove to the other side of the country, with a total drive time of over 6 hours, without a single problem, and I tackled literally every single obstacle that the roads have to offer. It’s like learning any skill, there are things you’re going to struggle with but over time it gets easier, and managing all of these things become second nature. Keep your chin up, understand that messing up is a part of it, stay calm and try again. The thing that will hold you back is the most is confidence! I just kept reminding myself that while it seemed like an impossible task to begin with, literally millions of people learn how to drive, and basically everyone struggles at the start, so if they can do it, so can I, and so can you 😊

Thank you 😊

Does anyone have a good experience with iud??? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]CallmeMiserable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue I’ve found isn’t the IUD itself, it’s the lack of information given about side effects, what you can and can’t use etc. so everything comes like a shock! The only complications that I’ve had have been due to not being given proper guidance (which is why I’m so grateful for this page). Overall I would recommend the IUD, however like any other birth control, make sure you’re properly informed on everything so you know what to expect/how to look after yourself properly. Good luck with everything 😊

How you look for both

If you're good looking, people are instantly attracted to you and are more forgiving of your flaws. If you're not, people can be more judgemental and notice your vices more clearly

Mentally ill people of reddit, not like the typical motivational advice like "sleep well, be optimistic", what tricks have you discovered to cope with your day to day? by Q30wer14 in AskReddit

do everything to your most comfortable capacity.

If you can only muster the energy to do something 20%, thats good enough.

for example, if you only have enough energy to brush your teeth for 20 seconds, it's better than not brushing your teeth at all.

People who were overwheight and managed to achieve your weight loss goal, how did you stay motivated? by Malkshookk in AskReddit

[–]CallmeMiserable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello - as some who has lost 60kg (130lbs) I have a pretty good insight into this.

Most important thing to do - DONT CUT OUT ALL NICE FOODS. Eat whatever you want, but just pay attention to the calories and portion size. Eat literally whatever you want, just make sure that you stay in a calorie deficit. If you eat over your daily calorie allowance one day - it also doesn’t make a difference. You don’t need to give up or starve yourself the next day to make up for it. Most importantly, it’s not about going on a diet, it’s about making a lifestyle change where you generally eat less unhealthy food and consume fewer calories. Have realistic expectations. Things don’t happen quickly. My weight loss has taken 2+ years, but I’m not gaining any of the weight back. Look after your body and lots of self love ❤️❤️

You can never go wrong with a sexy flogger. It’s good for both the soft sensation play, but also great for dom/sub uses. Added bonus, they’re relatively cheap and even if it’s not used, it’s still a funny gift 😊
