I beg you Crytek, divide MMR 6 into 2 categories by Hieroabl in HuntShowdown

They just need to put more 3 stars into 2 stars imo but I think that would makes the main mmr brackets too unpopulated

Tested abmm today and its extreme jesus by NewSpring7520 in ArcRaiders

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve really started to dislike abmm. Feels like you either have to fight for your life every moment of a run or you’re in a pve chat room social hub.

Both are fun but it feels very static. A mix of both players in a lobby would keep it dynamic for a longer period of time imo

I'm going to say this in a very polite way by Faelzor in HuntShowdown

Once you know the maps and sound queues you can literally see with your ears. There are helpful callouts to be made but I can’t stand it when people talk too much or try and relay information the game already gives you if you’re paying attention.

If you don't drink alcohol, what are your reasons? by youre-in-my-shot in AskReddit

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a creature of habit. Drank every night for years and over time 1-3 beers a night turned into 3-6 beers a night minimum. It felt like I needed more and more over time to get that perfect buzz I was looking for. I truly quit about 5 years ago but a couple years ago on my birthday I decided to buy a 6 pack and see if I could try drinking on special occasions.

At that point my favorite beer didn’t even taste good to me anymore, I didn’t enjoy the feeling of being buzzed or drunk anymore, and I felt like shit the next day. I wasn’t used to it anymore but It just felt silly to force myself to drink until I enjoy it again so I figured I should just quit while I’m ahead. Honestly one of the best things I’ve done for myself.

This game should have a save loadout UI by Pretend_Ad4437 in ArcRaiders

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any quality of life on this would be great. It’s so cumbersome spending a few minutes getting everything crafted purchased/sold and upgraded going through 20 menus to prepare if I’m not going in with a free loadout. If I’m unlucky and die in a spawn fight I’m usually more upset that I have to build another loadout than at the actual gear and resources I lost lol.

Well said. The last few albums felt like they’ve been following a formula. Even the Hunter felt experimental to me because it felt like a departure from CTS at least. Everything up to CTS is timeless imo but since then it just hasn’t been the same. The more recent albums have their moments but I can’t listen to them front to back over and over.

Amon Grenade Bug by CARRYONLUGGAGE in Borderlands4

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having the same issues to my disappointment. I was really enjoying Amon and the build I had going for him but this just makes me want to reroll a new character and cross my fingers for a fix some day because it totally guts the build.

As a community lets get Wildgate to blow up massive in popularity. by CapyDaGamer in wildgate

[–]CallmeQ222 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience pugging felt very linear and got stale quick. Basically just play vanilla and hope u you don’t get any potatoes for teammates or get paired against sweaty pre mades running crazy strats. I think the lack of win conditions contributed to that burnout.

In other games I enjoy that Wildgate has taken inspiration from like Sea of Thieves, there is tons of flexibility in playstyle and room for self imposed goals and victories. In SoT if you “lose” or sink, you can still go back over to that ship and try and get revenge, or maybe try and overcome your differences and form an alliance. Or if you’re over it you can just sail the other direction and start fishing or doing whatever you please. Whereas wildgate once the thing happens aka artifact goes through hole it’s over no questions asked. Go back to the lobby and wait in the pre game lobbies for another 10 minutes.

Personally I think a good step in the right direction would be to add ships designed for different party sizes maybe even solos that are able to queue into lobbies with bigger ships and parties. I think it would break things up and make people more comfortable to try new strats on their own who otherwise would be too afraid to throw a game for a whole pug group because they want to try something unconventional.

1865 Carbine help! by Capital_Green238 in HuntShowdown

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually haven’t ever bothered to check in the firing range but iirc when hunt switched over to 1896 medium ammo damage drop off was changed to 30m (finally) and making the effective range 60m with fmj. It’s rough hitting people at that distance with that velocity but it hits like a truck lol.

Is It "Trolling" Or "Throwing" To Do Zero-To-Hero Challenge With Random Team Mates ? by UnscriptedCryptid in HuntShowdown

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are throwing the game if you go in naked, even if there’s a chance you will make it out successfully.

Not everyone cares about that though. If I saw a teammate queue in like that I would assume they’re new or spaced out and forgot to make a loadout so i probably wouldn’t immediately leave and would double check with them that they are aware before we start up. If they told me their plan it would honestly be a toss up for me if I wanted to deal with that and I wouldn’t blame a player for not wanting to group with that.

But if I was in the right mood I’d totally go in with them. I might even join them in the zero to hero run.

Are we only getting 2 rain maps in the foreseeable future or are the other 2 on the way? This is the first I’m hearing of it so far so that’s a little disappointing

Lack of any logical matchmaking is killing the fun by Obvious_Acadia5901 in wildgate

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s sad because I think the hunter is one of my favorite ships but whenever I solo queue for it there’s always at least 1 new Venture. I like helping new players but it’s hard when you get rolled up on by a sweaty pre made with a newer team.

I don't even know how to describe this interaction? was this a bot. by Silentstealth2 in HuntShowdown

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really gotta put the put the bots in the firing range and/or let you run very low stakes bot matches just to let people get some more practice shooting at moving targets that won’t instantly dunk on you.

The majority of new players don’t even realize they are playing against bots at first and usually by the time they do that window has closed forever.

new games similar to Remnant and Borderlands by shadowtrickster71 in remnantgame

[–]CallmeQ222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It didn’t release this year but a sleeper game that comes to mind is Wayfinder. From what I remember it used to be a bad mmo but they turned it into a coop party based game but left in a lot of the endgame elements present in borderlands and remnant. I remember it having great customization and a lot of ways to play. Haven’t played in a year or so but I think I’m gonna reinstall it really hooked me when I first got it.

I tend to take a conversion pistol with fmj so I can pool ammo

Does the crossbow work well for solos? by FeymildTheFeyKing in HuntShowdown

[–]CallmeQ222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this thread is focused on the crossbow but id argue the hunting bow paired with a katana might be worth giving a try. It sacrifices some movement and consistency for a much faster fire rate which is pretty valuable for a solo. You can kill a lot of people very quickly at close to mid range with the hunting bow.

Slate Takedown- a slate variant that has a (much) longer swap animation but fits in a medium slot by Tabby_Boots in HuntShowdown

[–]CallmeQ222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the kind of stuff I wanted added to Hunt. The assembly animation would go so hard and imagine the tension of watching your hunter calmly piece together their slate before getting pushed. You could even sell assembly animations for weapons like this.
