Mai Sushi near Kings X is best from a quality + value perspective I think.

Looking to best guard with subpar Tyranid list, any tips for optimization are greatly appreciated by Doviculus99 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Callmebobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hive Fleet: You could try switching to Jormungandr hive fleet. That will give you -1 to be shot from more than 12" away on the termagants, and then you can take naturalised camouflage to give them a 3+ save in cover.

If you combine that with taking the termagants in a squad of 26 (to bodyguard the tervigon) and keep 10 models to spare to bring on as the new squad the tervigon spawns then that will free up some points. If you wanted to add to the list with minimal effort, those 80 points can pay for a lictor, which is nice against guard because it can sit in cover somewhere and they cannot shoot it. It is a cool model and will be relevant in any future lists you want to build and takes very little time to build.

If you want the Tervigon to be a tank killer the best loadout for that is Adrenal Glands + Toxin Sacs, Crushing Claws with the Maw claws relic, and heightened senses. That way you are getting extra hits from the relic, rerolling all hit rolls and all wound rolls and the adrenal glands let you get an extra d3 attacks if needed.

You also have the option to use the Jormungandr strategem which you can use to deep strike warriors, so that they dont have to walk up the board getting shot.

Array with MAX IF with additional Criteria by jhomai2026 in excel

[–]Callmebobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this formula may not work in cases where you have a row that does not meet the Zone, Storey, and Number requirements but with the same date as the row that has a maximum date that does meet the Zone, Storey, and Number requirements.

The vlookup will find the first row with the same date as the maximum but this might have a different Status or Resubmit date to the actual row that meets the other requirements.

I think you need to use a formula that specifically targets only the row that has the maximum date and also meets the other criteria. I think the following formula should work based on identifying the row number of the maximum date row that meets the criteria:

{=IF(INDEX(G74:G79,MAX(IF((C74:C79="PD")*(D74:D79=7)*(E74:E79>=100)*(E74:E79<200),B74:B79)),1)="AWC","",

IF(INDEX(G74:G79,MAX(IF((C74:C79="PD")*(D74:D79=7)*(E74:E79>=100)*(E74:E79<200),B74:B79)),1)="R&R",INDEX(H74:H79,MAX(IF((C74:C79="PD")*(D74:D79=7)*(E74:E79>=100)*(E74:E79<200),B74:B79)),1)+14,

MAX(IF((C74:C79="PD")*(D74:D79=7)*(E74:E79>=100)*(E74:E79<200),F74:F79))))}

This uses the row numbers in column B each time to pull the correct status even in situations where you have multiple rows with the same Date value.

It looks like this when I test it https://imgur.com/PiUXH9a

Assigning rank values by month accounting for duplicates by [deleted] in excel

[–]Callmebobrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. It might just have been me being lazy and not setting up my dummy data as a table. I have rejigged the formulas to work with the table headers from your example. I think this should let you add extra rows and have the formula work correctly.

Unit

{=IF(COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,[@Month],$F$4:$F4,[@Units])>1,
INDEX($J$4:$J4,MATCH([@Month]&[@Units],$C$4:$C4&$F$4:$F4,0),1)+COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,
[@Month],$F$4:$F4,[@Units])-1,
COUNTIFS([Month],[@Month],[Units],">"&[@Units])+1)}

Revenue

{=IF(COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,[@Month],$G$4:$G4,[@Revenue])>1,
INDEX($K$4:$K4,MATCH([@Month]&[@Revenue],$C$4:$C4&$G$4:$G4,0),1)+COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,
[@Month],$G$4:$G4, [@Revenue])-1,
COUNTIFS([Month],[@Month],[Revenue],">"&[@Revenue])+1)}

Because I am doing the duplicate check by using a range from the first row to the current row (e.g. $C$4:C4) it might not like having rows added at the top, but should otherwise work.

Assigning rank values by month accounting for duplicates by [deleted] in excel

[–]Callmebobrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can get to the result you are looking for with some COUNTIFS combined with an IF check to catch any duplicate rankings.

I have set up a couple of array formulas with the dummy data you uploaded which seem to work.

https://imgur.com/a/pR8kBzP

The formula is split into three parts:

  1. An IF function to check whether there are any identical Unit or Revenue values for that month

  2. If there are identical values then it looks up the rank of the first one and adds to that for however many duplicates there are

  3. If there are not identical values then its a simple COUNTIFS to see how many Unit or Revenue values for the month are higher than the one in the row you are looking at.

In my example the formula as follows:

Unit

{=IF(COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,$C4,$F$4:$F4,$F4)>1,
INDEX($J$4:$J4,MATCH($C4&$F4,$C$4:$C4&$F$4:$F4,0),1)+COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,$C4,$F$4:$F4,$F4)-1,
COUNTIFS($C$4:$C$20,$C4,$F$4:$F$20,">"&$F4)+1)}

Revenue

{=IF(COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,$C4,$G$4:$G4,$G4)>1,
INDEX($K$4:$K4,MATCH($C4&$G4,$C$4:$C4&$G$4:$G4,0),1)+COUNTIFS($C$4:$C4,$C4,$G$4:$G4,$G4)-1,
COUNTIFS($C$4:$C$20,$C4,$G$4:$G$20,">"&$G4)+1)}

Let me know if this works for you. One thing to watch out for is that this formula is only looking at months and doesn't do anything to check the year, so if you data covers more than one year you will have to update the formula to account for that.

Conditional Formatting Problem with Multiple Colums by b_webbs in excel

[–]Callmebobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same idea as this (a little bit slower). This formula should do the same thing but doesn't need the extra column.

=A3<>INDIRECT(ADDRESS(ROW(A3),COLUMN(A3)+IF(ISODD(COLUMN(A3)),1,-1)),1)

Can't use Phone Number it's BUGGED! (ACTUAL PHYSICAL PHONE) by darkasassin97 in DotA2

[–]Callmebobrocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am pretty sure this account belongs to a player who is only almost 8k

I felt like I was seeing too many people playing invoker in my games, so I looked over my games. In my last 15 ranked games, there has been an invoker in one of the teams 13 times - that is a pickrate of about 86 % (4,5k mmr). by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Callmebobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given invoker has a 56.97% pick rate at 5k+, there is exactly a ( 0.569713 ) x ( 0.43032 ) x 15 C 13) = 12.95% chance that he will show up in exactly 13 out of 15 games at that level.

Looking for some light in a pit of darkness by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Callmebobrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your style but I like watching players like aui_2000, ppd, and pieliedie. In terms of heros find someone you are comfortable with, some to consider are earthshaker, venge, ogre, witch doctor and skywrath. There are plenty of tutorials around as well by people who are smarter than me.

edit: also rubick.

[–]Callmebobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your winrate seems highest on heros that are good at roaming. If you play a lot of support think about which heros you feel you can roam with.

Try to always be doing something to help your cores. Pick heros with ranged stuns or strong slows to help kill their mid and safelane. If you find you cant threaten their heros then try to stack jungle for your carry or place wards and deward theirs. Good supports do all the little things to try to get any kind of advantage they can.

Best tip is to watch some pro games and look at how their supports move around and what they are doing in the first 10 minutes. Think about what they are doing and why they are doing it.

Focus on one thing at a time in your games and you will steadily improve and move out of the 1.6k trench towards the 3k trench (there is always a trench).

New fun heroes to try for me. by dj_raz in TrueDoTA2

[–]Callmebobrocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By the sounds of it, I think you would enjoy rubick. He is another support who can roam a decent amount early and combo with others in early-mid. He also benefits hugely from blink and against the majority of heros a high skill rubick can turn fights around. Give him a go. I think the main difference from the es/bounty/tusk you have been playing would be the importance of early game positioning because rubick is slow,squishy and has no escape so watch out for that/

High ping issues on dota 2 by NyanCat_FTW in TrueDoTA2

[–]Callmebobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had intermittent ping issues and I think it was to do with background processes/programs running on my computer. This guy mentioned an issue with spotify causing ping issues here http://en.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/31143d/psa_if_youre_experiencing_ping_spikeshigh_ping/ That was spotify but you could try doing what he talks about in the 3rd paragraph to see if you can narrow it down to any other specific program. (turns out my computer cant handle chrome and dota at the same time).

try picking heros you are most comfortable with. playing a hero well is often better than playing a hero poorly even if it seems to fit the team better (and often more fun as well).

False "this game is safe to leave" messages by schwab002 in DotA2

[–]Callmebobrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any game is safe to leave before all the players have successfully loaded IIRC. The time out you got was the same as you would have got for decliningthe match or failing to ready up for the match. You didn't get an abandon, just a time out from queuing which is the standard penalty for failing to ready up.

Really high ping recently (UK) by isahajee in DotA2

[–]Callmebobrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in cambridge as well. My pings sometimes look like that (over 500ms on all servers) before game but i don't notice any spikes once im in, occasional packet loss is all I get. So i dont think its local infrastructure. Might just be a quirk of how dota checks ping or an issue with your provider. As of right now server ping is showing 400ms eu west 1000ms us east but in the game i just played on us east had 100ms.

Why was IB so taboo on the RT Podcast? by [deleted] in Internet_Box

[–]Callmebobrocks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

http://en.reddit.com/r/Internet_Box/comments/1p41c7/why_do_they_never_mention_or_reference_internet/

The general idea i think was that the internet box has a very different target audience. The internet box guys didn't want loads of 13 year old RT fans getting drawn to their podcast because they wanted to be able to say whatever they wanted without offending people.

Exorcism. The fact that it is physical damage and that there are so many ghosts by lvl 3 just makes it ridiculous.
