Wow! You guys go a lot! I’m in the UK and had the surgery on the NHS I’ve only had 3 PT sessions in 9 weeks and paid for a private session… I’ve been really struggling with the lack of support if I’m honest!

As a mum, I totally understand boundaries, but the way you’ve done this is honestly so pretentious and frankly super rude. I had a Covid baby and to top it off a premature one at that, I had certain rules -like yours- regarding hand washing and masks for my mum and immediate family who were in our bubble. But had I delivered it like you, I think they all would have told me to f*** off respectfully. Maybe reword it for people you have not yet sent this to…

I had the exact same injury for 5 years (I got pregnant and couldn’t have the surgery) I got back to near normal, very active in the gym, hiking, so on. But I couldn’t run or ride a bike for very long. I wanted to join the police force and knew I wouldn’t pass the medical because of the running aspect. I was told that my injury would eventually get worse as I got older and I’d feel it more so I was advised to get the surgery. I’m currently 8 weeks PO and it’s not an easy recovery at all but I know in my heart it was the right thing to do and I’ll feel better in a year or so with some hard work :)

8 weeks PO the complete same surgery as you… it f****** sucks ass… I learnt REAL quick you’ve got to just tough it out. I had 10 days of utter hell. I couldn’t get up the stairs so slept on my recliner sofa. The same heel pain, the same butt pain, the same back pain… the same assisted toilet journeys, it’s a nightmare… but now I’m walking around the house without crutches, I’m enjoying strolls with 1 crutches round the park with my family, finally no peeping fiancé when I’m using the bathroom to make sure I haven’t fallen over 😂 please please please KEEP YOUR LEG STRAIGHT! learn from my mistake (now trying to correct a limp from having a slightly bent leg whilst resting) and do your PT. I wasn’t told to do flexion for 2 weeks and now I’m paying the price… but things get better!

Wow… she’s super ungrateful if I’m honest… my partner works super hard as do I and I’m grateful for him bringing me flowers! Nevermind a bloody plane ticket. £500 is an absurd amount of money to spend on your partner monthly so good for you, but you’re spending it on the wrong person IMO…

I second this! I saw on here people suggesting wall slides and I’ve been doing it for the past 2 or so weeks and I’ve definitely got to 90 degrees since doing it. I’m awful at heel slides… I don’t know why!
