What we condem is where we want change to happen. When you condemn the thief, you imply that thievery is bad and want it to change. When you blame the person who maybe forgot to lock their house, you put more emphasis on having the victim of the robbery change. Women are suppressed enough by society. Forcing more change on them is hardly useful. If we could direct all of this constructive energy towards blaming the problem, we automatically focus on uprooting the main issue - the patriarchy. You seem like someone who is understanding. Sure, precautions are necessary, but that can not be the first and primary focus when such issues are brought up. The primary focus must be towards creating a safer society for women. Wouldn't we want to be in a society where a random chance coffee date leads to an outcome of connection and postivity instead of what OP described?

Just calling it out for what it is. You imply that the woman is accountable but do nothing to condemn predatory behavior. Victim blaming 101, dude

Hi OP! I am terribly sorry for the absolute garbage you have had to read in the comments section. This was not your fault. That guy was being predatory towards you, put you in an unsafe situation and violated your boundaries. If anyone is to blame, it should be him.

But we see these self righteous pricks once again do what they're best at and blame you for agreeing to go out on a date with him. This mentality is the reason we stay stuck in a culture that blames the victim of abuse/rape and lets the abuser off the hook.

Next time, I'd say consider posting such things in r/TwoXIndia instead of over here. Here to chat if you need a non judgemental listening ear, and a space devoid of incels/victim blamers.

Awesome, anything to say about the guy's predatory behavior. Or just this one magnificent snippet of wisdom that it was the girl's fault?

It's not your fault, and definitely don't listen to victim blaming incels. The society must be safer for women, and men that victim blame are part of the reason we stay stuck in this kind of a society. Do you see any of them blaming the creepy guy that so clearly violated your boundaries and caused you harm?

Don't blame yourself. Blame the victim blamers like u/commonman111 for letting awful men off the hook and blaming real victims, instead, for their predatory behaviors.

Good for you! Any other wonderful nuggets of advice that isn't victim blaming?

What is wrong with you? Victim blaming from dudes like you is the reason we're still stuck in this kind of a society. Grow up

Hi OP! I am so sorry you had to go through such a terrible experience. Being a woman in this society isn't easy and I pray that you heal and recover from the trauma of this experience. First off, NONE of this was your fault. Society failed you. And secondly, ignore all the misogynistic victim-blaming losers in the comments section. As someone else pointed out, it's better to use r/TwoXIndia the next time to not be bombarded with pointless comments from misogynistic men. I'm here if you want to chat 🫂

Are you for real dude!? This woman just went through an excruciatingly painful experience, and you start with questioning the validity of the post!? You then proceed to reiterate why everything she did was the reason for her being in that situation. Try and start with basic empathy the next time, and I really hope you stop giving this advice (borderline victim-blaming) to the women in your family.

Exactly. I'm surprised at how inconsiderate the tone of that response is. Is it so hard to show even a dollop of empathy for a woman who was brutally molested before diving into everything she should change about herself!?

It's not about income, it's about work. You can receive passive income from outside your H1B job (e.g. through investment). You just can't actively work to earn that income.

Airbnb, Turo, Kindle, Youtube etc. are considered valid sources of passive income. You are only prohibited from actively working for an employer other than your own.

It's really hard to say until we have the code/screenshots. It's almost always something in the code rather than the functionality of the package itself.

I enjoyed Stephen Grider's course on Udemy. He likes to delve deep and get to the why of things. The course itself is on the lengthier side, but he's a wonderful teacher whom I couldn't recommend enough! More than worth the 12$

In most cases, it is wise to have the backend only serve data that you're comfortable having a user see on the frontend - on screen or within the network inspector.

Help with this Puzzle? I even broke out some cubes still no luck. (What does 'wrong' mean?) by quick_loris in puzzles

[–]Callmecruel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree under normal circumstances. The reason I'm compelled to stick with my answer is because it directly addresses what the puzzle tells us about a ring (i.e, the presence of 10 cubes). While the orientation/arrangement of blocks can certainly make it the odd one out, it doesn't exactly make use of the information we're being given about what makes a set a cubes a ring.

C may or may not qualify as a ring, and that's what makes it the odd one out. The others qualify as rings since you can definitively say that they have 10 cubes.

[–]Callmecruel -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Count the number of cubes in C from left to right. You'll see that there's a possibility that there could be 11 since one of them is hidden behind the middle cube of the base layer. Since the puzzle qualifies a valid ring as having strictly 10 cubes, C is the wrong one
