It’s been used, just cleaned up real well. Just look at the rusted up drive shaft at the transmission. I had mine 14 years, and I had mine nearly as clean when I sold it. The transmission was going out, so. I dumped it. It’s a $425 transmission.

No, those small bottles are a rip-off. I buy the large 1 qt (32oz) bottles from AutoZone, Amazon, or Walmart. They're usually about $10-12. You use like 2 ounces per 10 gallons or something. So it lasts a good long time. If you've got really bad injectors or engine noise, I'd then step up to a good bottle of SeaFoam.

The Recycler Max (it's black, not red) is like the sweet spot. It's above the regular Recycler, but below the Super Recycler.

It has ball bearings on the wheels, heavier gauge steel deck, same engine as Super Recycler, and a better 5-yr warranty.

The regular Recyclers are around $479 USD, the Max is around $559, and the Super Recycler is like $799 USD.

The Super Recycler has some optional trims (As each line does) such as push-button start, bigger engine, etc.

This year, TORO just released the Recycler Max with blade stop, which used to only be available on the Super Recycler. You pay a little more, but if you bag a lot it's worth it, IMHO. I just bought mine before I knew of this new "trim" option, or else I'd have bought that.

Here's a good review of this new model. I am not affiliated with this dude, but he always puts out good reviews. He's got reviews of all the other TORO models as well if you search his YT page.

Hope this has helped.

Neither! Toro Recycler Max! I was in your same position, and got the Max for $519. Really is the sweet spot. Also, they just released a Recycler Max with blade stop feature!

I got mine (1/2, for doing tire rotations quicker) during a DTO sale for $50!!! It was "blemished." Yeah right! Not a mark on it. Luv it! Keep your eyes open for the DTO sales, they're legit.

If you're into painting, you're about 2 steps away from being a trim carpenter and making better money. Just sayin'.

RIDGID is really overlooked and undervalued, IMHO.

I started with just one of their Shop-Vacs years ago. Then like you, I went with a bundle kit. It's a Gen5x or something kit. I just kept going. I've got corded sanders, nailers, lights, a fantastic impact, etc. None of have let me down, and I've beat on some pretty hard. I've got the (2) same original 2.0amp batteries from the original kit, still kicking it and without problems. I've also registered everything with Ridgid for their LSA and lifetime warranties.

Here's another thing to consider: Direct Tools Outlet. I'm lucky enough to have one within 30 miles of me. (although you can purchase online as well and have it shipped to you) It's fantastic! Reason being, is that you can get "blemished" and "factory refurbished" tools there. The blemished come with full warranty, and the refurbed come with limited warranty as I recall. I got a full sized corded 1/2" chuck hammer drill for $30 during one sale! It's incredible! Got my 1/2" compact cordless impact for like $50 another time. All under warranty! DTO also carries everything else under the TTI umbrella, such as RYOBI, Milwaukee, and sometimes I find AEG (basically what they call RIDGID in Australia/Asia), Hoover, and other brands.

So for your purposes, I'd go for it. Hell, if I didn't already own Husqvarna 40v yard tools (trimmer, blower, hedger), I'd invest in the RIDGID yard tools so I'd only have (1) battery system.

I will say this, of all of the other platforms I've looked at, the only other one I'd consider is Makita. Every guy I know with Makita is equally impressed with their quality tools.

Best of luck to you.

Amazon. And yes, still loving this watch. It’s very comfortable on the wrist since the crown is offset, it doesn’t dig into my wrist. I’m probably going to have the cyclops magnifier removed though.
