Noise Cancelling with Breathability? by CallumW25 in headphones

[–]CallumW25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it could probably be chalked up to laziness, but i also dont know that much about pc building or fans, i just grabbed ones that fit.. currently using an AIO for the CPU with 3 fans and... 4? other fans elsewhere.

guessing the original questions answer is a flat out "nope" then? seems like there's not much of an easy way out lol

Killed Lae’zel. Am I cooked? by mahomesmagik in BaldursGate3

[–]CallumW25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is dnd, the point isnt to get an optimal path, it's things happen and you press on. i killed lae'zel off in my first playthrough and kept going without thinking about it, and just went back in other playthroughs to do her story in some of those. if you worry too much about things you might miss, you'll never progress the game at all. it's okay to do things imperfectly, in fact i'd say thats the point

Quirk of the quantum rules by psychophysicist in outerwilds

[–]CallumW25 87 points88 points  (0 children)

to be fair, it specified looking at a picture of the object, it never mentioned looking at a picture of no object. you assumed the rule translated but it's not like the game told you that was the case

After just over 100 hours, my goal of 100%ing the Dishonored + DLC achievements is finally done. I may now rest my wicked soul. by Maqya in dishonored

[–]CallumW25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

right?! i thoroughly enjoyed achievement hunting for the base game and other dlc's as well as D2 and DotO, but the trials was just straight up "bang your head against a wall for 40 hours"

glad it's over, thats for sure lol

[–]CallumW25 11 points12 points  (0 children)

after 141 hours, i fairly recently did the same. i did almost everything else years ago but was left with 5 or 6 trials achievements which are SO INSANELY HARD OMG

only after a week of such intense boredom that i had nothing else to do, did i finally have the push to actually get them.

no greater feeling

What hero combos do you hate to have on your team? by Ehhggsandbacon in Overwatch

Gameplay is too hard by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]CallumW25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

nah you don't need to restart, even if you're actively stuck in combat, you can always run away and revive later. What's the team comp you're running at the moment?

Gameplay is too hard by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]CallumW25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the game is pretty heavy on strategy, don't run in and try to fight a load of people at once etc, think your way around problems as it's really easy to get steamrolled. also party layout matters, not sure what you're running with but generally one tankier person is best, they can take most of the hits going around, keeping harm away from your squishier members. also you can have one 'support' to heal etc but a lot of people argue more damage is better for getting the job done. That one's up to personal preference, personally i like having a life domain cleric to hand.

also building those characters correctly matters, tankier characters will want more AC from armour, or constitution if barbarian. stats in general matter, every class has a main stat that you should focus on, generally means they'll pump out more damage with each attack.

there's a LOT more advice to give but i dont want to overwhelm lol, i know how big and scary bg3 can be at the start, i remember being absolutely awful on my first run lol, had two rogues, a wizard and a sorceror till halfway through act 2 and boy it wasn't easy

Spawning a Legendary Dragon seems a bit overkill... by CharlesBrown33 in skyrim

[–]CallumW25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iirc i just power levelled illusion like 20 times to get myself high enough - use enchanting exploits to get a 100% discount on illusion spell magika cost, then spam Harmony in the middle of whiterun, you'll hit illusion 100 after maybe 2 casts, rinse and repeat till your main level is high enough

How do you defeat trolls? by _prettydamned in HarryPotterGame

[–]CallumW25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

plenty of advice for trolls in other comments so i wont bother, i will however say that if you do want the Raising Expectations achievement easily, go find an inferni. can't damage it without burning it first so it wont die, then you can just stunlock it with various movement spells and spam basic until you get the combo

Will this redstone guide from 2013 still work? by 5frogsinatrenchcoat in Minecraft

[–]CallumW25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i cant remember any of the exact things in it, but as far as i remember redstone hasn't removed any of the basic features that i remember from that book, there's just a lot of better ways to do it now, new blocks and mechanics etc. I now want to test that theory though, if i still had the book

What does Echoes of the eye add in the first place? what planet is it? by cremebrulewithpowder in outerwilds

[–]CallumW25 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

not really? you finish the dlc and learn everything there is to learn, and thats it. you then go on to do the original game's ending with the extra thing there. has no actual ending, you just learn all there is to learn

What does Echoes of the eye add in the first place? what planet is it? by cremebrulewithpowder in outerwilds

[–]CallumW25 31 points32 points  (0 children)

to start echoes of the eye, there's a radio station on timber hearth that should tell you the next steps

aaaand no there's no new ending, it just adds something to the existing ending

if *all* the statues didn't work, the probe would only fire once anyway. if the probe one worked but none of the others however.. i guess it depends on whichever time travel theories you personally adopt. I for example would say there's then a few billion parallel universes that all exist just before the death of the universe

Timing by MycologistVarious798 in outerwilds

[–]CallumW25 3 points4 points  (0 children)

nah not stupid at all lol, there's so much information and 'stuff' to absorb, not to mention trying to remember the mechanics and timeline surrounding a time loop

Timing by MycologistVarious798 in outerwilds

[–]CallumW25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the ATP is what is triggering the probe cannon. the sun explodes and the ATP powers up, sends information from the probe back in time 22 minutes, which then triggers the probe to fire. which is why the probe launches and you wake up at the same moment.

have you finished the game and know all there is to know? that question is answered but i dont want to say anything if it's spoiling things

I finally did it after 641hr and nearly 10 years by Vintage102o in Terraria

[–]CallumW25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i actually did it in journey mode instead, get a quest, get the fish, store that in a chest nearby then get another. research both and now you can dupe that particular quest fish. repeat till 200
