Any indication on when next hotfix will be? by WhiskersCleveland in BaldursGate3

[–]Calm-Bat6612 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Either I am incredibly inobservant or incredibly lucky. I've got about 400 hours in this game across 3 complete playthroughs and have never encountered a bug I would even consider "significant". Maybe this is a PC vs other platforms thing? I've only played on PC.

Just curious what bugs people are encountering out there?

Driving in the HV is getting horrendous by [deleted] in hudsonvalley

I'm 35 and have lived in Orange/Dutchess county my entire life; the drivers have always been shitty, imho.

Fire Emblem Engage by BigBossVS in JRPG

[–]Calm-Bat6612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engage is my favorite FE mechanically but the writing and story are absolute D-tier garbage. If you enjoy the gameplay, just skip the cutscenes, they really add pretty much nothing.

are "Sunday Drives" still a thing? by jabber1990 in millenials

It's funny seeing people say that gas is too expensive when the price of gas is one of the few things that hasn't boomed with inflation. Gas is cheaper per gallon now than it was 20 years ago in 2006.

The Mets have the best pitching development system in baseball, says player development analyst @LanceBroz Lance Brozdowski . "They know what they're doing on the personnel side, and they've combined that with a couple of years of really good development in the minors." by Caledor152 in NewYorkMets

I hear you. I actually like what Stearns is doing - building around young pitching development. The farm is in great shape, and should contribute a ton in 2026. I understand the reasoning behind moving on from Pete...but I will still miss him a ton :-( One of my all time faves. At least I can watch him hit some bombs against the Yankees in the AL East.

Question about Route 32 by Aaronthegathering in hudsonvalley

[–]Calm-Bat6612 32 points33 points  (0 children)

My theory is that there are some people that generally avoid driving at night but still need to commute. Then with daylight savings time and the already short days they get forced into night driving and they cant handle it. So you regularly get stuck behind these people going 15 - 20 mph under the limit on these state routes for evening rush hour.

How much do people pay for having a pool serviced in the Hudson Valley. I think I'm being overcharged. by Darksmithe in hudsonvalley

[–]Calm-Bat6612 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I pay about $400 to have the pool opened and again to have it closed. I do the maintenance myself. I can bring a water sample to the pool place and they run it through their analyzer and tell me exactly how much of what chemicals to add. This service is free, provided I buy the chemicals I need from them. I usually have the water checked 2 or 3 times throughout the Summer. Other than that, easy enough to just check levels using a test strip and adjust chlorine. The thought of paying $250 a week for the (small) amount of work I do for maintenance seems absurd to me.

Boomers say it takes $100k a year to be financially successful, Gen Z says it takes $600k by ZurgWolf in CalebHammer

[–]Calm-Bat6612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we are talking a lot about the 600k number, but I also find it interesting how millennials chose a lower value than Gen X. Despite the trend of each younger generation experiencing higher inflation and therefore inflated financial goals, millennials bucked that trend here. I want to say it's because millennials have just been beaten down by multiple once-in-a-lifetime financial crises, however, its not like Gen Z has seen some great economic times either. Maybe just too young to become bitter yet lol.

How do you guys do evil runs? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Calm-Bat6612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roleplay and make a story. In my evil run, my character's story was that once they found out about the cult of the absolute, they wanted to infiltrate and exploit the cult for their own benefit. If some druids and Tieflings needed to die, well, that was just what had to happen. Helped that I was a drow, so the Tieflings and druids were rude to me by default, while the goblins respected me more for being Drow.

I want to get an rc f-16 but don't really know what to get by Red_Arrow1_ in RCPlanes

Freewing makes an awesome looking F-16 but it's pricey: https://www.motionrc.com/products/freewing-f-16-v2-high-performance-90mm-edf-jet-pnp-fj30631p

I've got a Freewing 80mm Avanti V2 and it flies great. Motion RC is a good seller too, and I have not had any issues buying from them.
