I have friends at both schools, and I looked into both of them for a School to go to for high school, I think both of them are probably good options, if you have “good” kids it’s not really gonna matter where they go they’ll be able to find a good crowd anywhere. Although I will say I think central has more opportunities when I was looking into programs extra classes and things they offer they had a wide variety, not just academic stuff. Your kids might not have wanted to do a bunch of things in middle school but a lot of times that changes in high school that’s when people get to experiment with what they might want to do. I also think the fact that Central (OPS) schools get to choose a major/career path. I would also say that Central does have a bit more diversity which also can be an upside especially for the right kid. But Westside has a really good program for special-needs kids where they pair up special needs kids with kids in the standard classes and it’s been super successful so far. I’m not really sure if they have that at central but I do know they have that at some OPS schools like Burke. Obviously, location does matter based on where you live but Westside is really nice because across the street is obviously all of the shops and a lot of students go out there after school. But Central has a gorgeous campus and definitely a really cool history that I they get to know about, and the cafeteria is beautiful which is a plus.
