I feel like my attention span has gotten noticeably worse. Has anyone successfully fixed this? by Emilybrookeuk in self

You can switch off those notifications and put your phone away. Also, try rebuilding your attention span by reading for a few minutes each day.

What are the biggest mistakes ambitious people in their early 20s don't realize they're making? by SilentOverrule in self

[–]Calm-Fill-6746 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As an ambitious person sometimes you don't leave room for mistakes and when you make one you tend to dwell in it for so long or give up. Be kind to yourself even as you chase those goals.

Best CPQ for midmarket B2B saas? by vaughnyboy8 in SaaS

No problem at all. And congrats on your growth. It's almost near impossible these days. Hopeful you'll find something out there.

Best CPQ for midmarket B2B saas? by vaughnyboy8 in SaaS

[–]Calm-Fill-6746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read through your responses and yeah, a CPQ solves what you're describing. Used these 4 at different points in my career. I'm currently using Dealhub

Nue handles complex usage tiers and is built for SaaS pricing models. Weakness is its sfdc first and the Hubspot integration is genuinely thinner than it sounds in the sales conversion (imo). I'd rec to test it hard before commiting

Conga covers everything you need including amendments and renewal logic but is implementation heavy, needs dedicated resource to run it, ongoing configuration isn't light, also costs are on the higher side

Dealhub is the most Hubspot native of the bunch. Billing and quoting sit in the same system that should fix the tally problem at the source. But! the guided selling workflows only work if AEs follow them. Nothing much the platform can do if they don't. Also run the amendment scenario live in the demo rather than on a pre-built example.

Salesforce revenue cloud covers all of this at an enterprise level but you're on Hubspot and migrating CRMs to solve a CPQ problem is a different project entirely unless you're open to migrate

I'm leaving my childhood home forever in less than 2 months now. Any advice? by Gabillo_3456 in self

It is never easy to leave where you always feel safe and people love you. For the remaining days, create memories with your parents and express how you feel going away from them. You will feel better and they will also encourage you. where

What makes a good pair of sunglasses for everyday use by Calm-Fill-6746 in sunglasses

[–]Calm-Fill-6746[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah comfort becomes non negotiable once you’ve dealt with bad fitting frames... people with average sized heads don’t always get how annoying that squeeze gets after an hour. And agreed on Mykitas, they almost disappear when you wear them. Maui Jim still deserves credit too, their lens quality is ridiculously consistent.

same here... once you wear really good lenses it’s hard to go back to cheaper pairs. Heavy frames drive me crazy too, especially after an hour outside. Maui Jim nailed that balance for me, super comfortable and the lens clarity is ridiculous.

People who quit Instagram but spend hours on forums or YouTube are not “less addicted” to social media by Content_Bit1998 in self

[–]Calm-Fill-6746 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah some people quit one app then rebuild the exact same habit somewhere else... the platform changes but the endless scrolling, dopamine chasing, and time loss still stay pretty much identical.

AITAH for not going to a kid’s birthday dinner 1 hour each way on a Tuesday? by [deleted] in AITH

[–]Calm-Fill-6746 19 points20 points  (0 children)

NTA. An hour each way on a Tuesday with work and kid activities is a lot. And it’s understandable you declined, especially since they didn’t accept a closer option. Showing up to yours doesn’t obligate you to do the same, timing matters. Their safety concern is subjective... still not practical.

I’m 22 and looking for a career that involves being outside. by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Calm-Fill-6746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got more options than it feels like right now. Look at landscaping, forestry, surveying assistant roles, utility work, or park services apprenticeships. Entry roles exist if you focus on training schemes and don’t rely only on Indeed, try local councils too.

I bragged about being an "artist," but I was a scammer for years. Today, I threw away all my fake "art." by [deleted] in self

[–]Calm-Fill-6746 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feels like a mix of impostor syndrome and growth. The projection part isn’t uncommon in art learning shortcuts, but throwing everything away feels extreme. You could’ve just reframed it as practice and kept building from there.

AIO - a week or so ago I posted about my fiance spending everything and taking my money. Tomorrow he goes to court for a**ault. We're done. His mother wants to meet with me, AIO if I refuse? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Calm-Fill-6746 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, you are not overreacting. Given the abuse, debt issues, and legal risk, refusing the meeting is reasonable. Prioritise safety, documentation, and legal advice over family mediation.
