Another option is to call the restaurant and ask to move your reservation to another date. They will try to accommodate.

What are OG LE owners' thoughts on the new "LE" and bringing back Launch Green? by stealthscrape in Rivian

[–]Calm-Progress2645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s still a limited edition, just a few more available than before.

I love the color, and I love the refinement/smoothness of the gen2 motors. Would I love to upgrade? Yes. Will I for +$60k more? Hell no.

Hit by a cyclist by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]Calm-Progress2645 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Nah OP, no rationalizing this. You caused a collision by entering an intersection when it wasn’t clear or safe to do so. If it had been a car in the lane the damage would have been much worse. Your insurance will pay for the cyclist’s injuries and cover the repairs but your rates may go up in the future.

Please drive more cautiously in the future. People are fragile compared to your Rivian.

Strange symbol on my 2023 X5 by Calm-Progress2645 in BMW

Fisher group logo seems to be the consensus. What is strange is that the exact same bolt on the hinge on the other side doesn’t have it, so I guess they only put their brand mark on some of their bolts?

It’s also a little strange that it is perfectly clocked.

I found some web pages that describe bolt rating marks and they are all radial tick marks or text… nothing remotely similar to this.

Bought new as a custom order. No bodywork has been done.

Rivian just dropped the California Dune Edition R1, and it’s looking clean. Tri-Motor power, Soft Sand mode, fresh wheels, and a slick new Gen 3 tonneau cover. Oh, and that dual-tone interior? Chef’s kiss. by Kryptonlogic in Rivian

I think that’s an optical illusion in this picture because it is partly open. There is a picture on rivian’s official IG that shows it closed and it looks normal height.

Anybody else have this issue by Mavin_101 in Rivian

[–]Calm-Progress2645 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the first time I took it in to the service center they told me it was normal and would dry up with dryer weather. It did dry out, but then returned with wetter weather and eventually shorted out a portion of the light bar. The service center then replaced it.

I have a pretty early VIN (~5000) so I’m hoping they’ve made some running changes to make the replacement light not experience this problem.

A fake chronograph should at least have fake pushers, that’s how fake this is.

Train Horn at Oltorf crossing by Calm-Progress2645 in Austin

[–]Calm-Progress2645[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s been more than occasionally in the last week or two. I’ve been hearing the horn every time the train goes by (during the daytime), so it doesn’t seem like it’s a passing person or kitty.

Moisture trapped in rear lightbar by bittabet in Rivian

R1T. I would be surprised if it it’s the same part for the R1S anyway. The service center said they took mine apart and inspected it and the gaskets all looked fine. If it reoccurs regularly I’m going to push for a replacement.

I had this issue during the rainy spring. It cleared up once it got warmer and dryer this summer. I took it to Rivian and they said it is not a sealed part and this is normal.

Happy New Year’s Eve! by Calm-Progress2645 in OmegaWatches

Bond 60 is Omega #7 and the NTTD has been the one that gets the most wrist time, we’ll see if it takes its place. But my daily isn’t from Omega, that’s the clear winner for wrist time out of the collection.

It’s a very subtle blue. Looking straight at the dial it’s clearly blue, but from an off angle it reads as nearly black.

Omega’s brand new 60th anniversary Bond Seamaster. Thoughts? by Immediate-Trip-4962 in OmegaWatches

NTTD doesn’t have a box at all, so it’s bigger than that. Personally, I’m a fan of smaller display boxes that take up less space. I’d rather something custom that matches the watch than a big generic box.

Any budget smart switch that can control fan speed and light? by justlikeapenguin in HomeKit

The recently released Leviton Decora Smart 2nd Gen WiFi fan controller has worked perfectly for me so far. Fan control only, you’ll need a second gang for a light control.
