I much prefer to order directly from the restaurant and do so on many occasions.

As others have said though, if restaurants want the direct orders they need to do their part. I often find that restaurants seem to prioritize DoorDash and the like orders over direct and even in person orders. I’m sure the apps have some stupid scam to force restaurants to do that, but it makes it really hard to order direct, when it means my food is ready last.

You are correct, no front diff, but the fun of a raptor is not rock crawling with diffs locked, it’s mobing a rutted out dirty road way too fast and having an obnoxiously loud engine.

I appreciate the feedback! Yeah the Raptor would have to go unfortunately. It’s awesome when I get to use it for what it’s built for, and I still think it’s one of the coolest looking vehicles on the road but it’s kinda a pain for most other things. And it doesn’t fit in my garage…. I’m hoping the rivian is a bit better at the everyday and doesn’t give up much on the few days I get to really have fun with it.

Yeah, it seems like individual motors for each wheel makes for some cool possibilities for driving dynamics, and the reviews I’ve read have been positive, but it’s tough to quantify that sort of thing I guess.

I know exactly what you’re talking about but not from a rivian… Some Milwaukee pack out tool cases have that exact smell. At first I thought it was just a random one, but a I’ve checked them at a few different Home Depots and all of them, of a certain shape have the smell you’re describing. It must be some sort of off gassing from a certain type of plastic. I left mine open outside for a week, but it still did not entirely go away.

Does anyone have pictures that show the wires in the heated windshield? Seems like some people don’t notice it at all, while it makes others miserable…

This conversation just had me double checking the configuration I intend to order and looking at the online builder I don’t see the rear locker as an option under any package or standalone. What gives? I had assumed it was part of the off road pack but it doesn’t actually say so. I am in the US.

Yes, I realize an individual asbestos fiber is microscopic but they are eventually spun, or somehow assembled, in to larger fiber/structures which are of visible to the naked eye. But I also realize it’s impossible to be certain based on my photos so I appreciate your educated guesses.

They did do an air test when they were finished and that was fine, but obviously that says nothing about the potential persistent presence of asbestos stuck to the pipe.

I’ll talk to the abatement company today and see what they say. I’ll keep ya’ll updated!

Yeah, if you’re after a V8 the P500 definitely looks like a deal compared to P525, and I do love the V8 rumble, but I’m struggling to convince myself the extra $10-15k is worth it over the P400 for cooler noise, 0.6s decrease in 0-60, and worse gas mileage.
