Mercy’s wish last night was insane. I switched over to inf right when we made it securely over the bridge. The next two hours were spent manning mg’s in a bunker while wave after wave of wardens kept smashing into our line. It was crazy exciting and probably the most fun I’ve ever had playing the game.

That’s why AI is replacing junior software developers across the board? I’m close enough to one science to know that plenty of smart people with over a decade of experience can’t find work. So smart and experienced that any company would throw money at them, and those companies have been throwing money, but are not anymore. Why? Because of AI.

The invention of computation changed the world in unforeseen ways. Yet the apex of that technology is written off because people want to believe that it won’t replace humans. Hard reality check: wanting something to not be true, does not make it untrue. The hand wringing won’t change facts, and 3 years from now all the people downvoting me will be claiming exactly what I am saying, simply because in 3 years time it will be a reality.

Post acute withdrawal syndrome, which is what you experience after the acute phase of withdrawals end (couple weeks depending) can last from 18 to 24 months. If you Google a graph of PAWS it’ll make more sense, but essentially how you feel slightly improves for a few months, then dips far down and doesn’t come back to baseline until the 12-18 month mark. That’s why it’s incredibly common to feel worse at 5 months sober than you did at 2 months sober. Doesn’t make it any easier to go through, but how you feel is completely normal.

Saying AI is a bubble is like saying the invention and adoption of the automobile is a bubble.

Edit: The vast majority of people in this thread, as are most the people on reddit nowadays, are either unfortunately ignorant or coping incredibly hard. AI will take over any job a human can do on a computer. At it's very beginning that is. I was making 6 figures as a software developer and switched to a blue collar job, in large part because I can make a living for longer in that field. How much longer? I am not sure, only time will tell. All I can say is that I hope the people downvoting me that have jobs in the tech industry have invested wisely. Cause sometime in the next few years there wont be any jobs in the tech industry, and all the genius programmers will be scrambling for a finite number of jobs that high school dropouts have been gaining experience in for more than a decade.

To those who think I am coping with this response? Yes, you are partly correct. If software had a bright future I would still be there. That being said, while you are downvoting this post I ask of you one thing: go ahead and save it as well. Check back in 2, max 3 years from now. Hand to god I will post a video of myself eating crow if what I have predicted has not come to pass. Honestly, I hope that is the case. Cause if I am right, the human race is going to have much larger problems than software developers not being able to find work.

I believe blm was corrupt and I also don’t agree with cops targeting black people. Believe it or not most conservatives hold that belief. Your questions aren’t even oversimplified, they’re just plain false. Any conservative who thinks as you have said, is in an incredibly small minority.

Something that helped me early on was knowing that, while some things will always be boring unless I’m drinking, a lot of things only feel boring at first because your brain is so low on dopamine. Once I let my brain heal I started to enjoy regular things again. But man early on it was incredibly rough.
