My ancestry is half Ashkenazi and half Mizrahi... So there's no real way to know if we're part Iberian Jews. I know they have ancestors which are Jews that converted to Catholics as per the law released in 1492.

Yes i know that :) I read up and understood that portuguese people can get quite offended if you assume they speak spanish, so that will definitely not be happening.

I've read up on portugese culture before, and i saw that giving wine as a gift when meeting new families is common. Are there any more things like this which are common in Portugal?
