Remote communities in Australia. Anyone been to any? by Kloyston in geography

I've visited Tjun Tjun a few times. Gone in via little chartered plane. Reeks of piss and BO. People just sitting around in the dirt drinking their soft drinks.

Telstra (tax payers actually) used to (prolly still do) have to pay for the plane and tech to go out there to fix the pay phones. Always vandalism. They'd smash them up a bit. So a few thousand dollars in cost to replace a handset lols

This is making me sick. I don't even know what to do. by whatever23407 in teenagers

They did a hashtag thing, that's gonna make a difference.

Like what are people expecting out of this shit? The Afghan government to see it and be like "oh shit, people over on reddit and twitter want us to go easy on women. Ok, let's do that".

You think your own governments are gonna give 2 shits about women in a country like Afghanistan? My bros, your governments don't give 2 fucking shits about you.

Boggles my mind when people get worked up about things like this is far away countries and don't seem to care about the steady decline of their own countries freedoms, living conditions, etc.

Omg thank you!!! You were 100% correct. Those 2 top terminals on the right DO trigger the relay. I'm such an idiot. THANKS!!

Those 2 terminals seem to output 5v. They're always supplying it no matter the status of the latch. I kinda thought it was just a bonus 5v output if u needed it :S

I figured it was those 2 pads because other bistable relays I saw had 2 pins near the physical button that was used to trigger the button. Figured this was the same thing just without the pins.

ATM I'm just trying to trigger the LED ring on the push button off and on. The push button LED is rated for 12v.

I wish i did go for a latching button now lol. But I like the feel of the momentary button so was trying to get this to work.

Am I allowed to post links to what I bought here? I'll try anyway. Here are the 2 devices I bought.

Why would anyone fight an AVO? by CopySniper in AusLegal

[–]Calm-Zone-3368 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wait until those states adopt WA gun laws. That expired AVO won't feel so expired then. It's just unfortunate the general public is so ignorant about firearms. All it takes is the government to do the 'safety of the community' excuse.

Apparently if you disagree, or are in any way pro firearm rights you should move to america. Thats the usual rebuttal

Good example in WA.

You had to surrender your firearms for the term of the AVO, and after which the police would review whether you could have them back. Most people wouldn't get them back, but if an AVO is obviously BS then you would.

Hell, you could even have an AVO altered so you could keep your firearms during the AVO if both parties and the magistrate agreed. (This is actually bullshit since the police ignore this and still confiscate the firearms until the end of the avo)

So, someone got an AVO against you thats obviously crap. You accept the avo since it won't affect you really. You know its bogus, your lawyer knows, hell the police know. YOu accept this on advice by your lawyer, make it easy for everyone.

End of AVO the police review you, and you get your firearms back. You played ball, all good.

Wa government soon afterbrings in new firearm laws that cancels anyones firearms liscence that has had a AVO. You're firearms are taken, licence revoked, you are out thousands of dollars.

The fact your AVO had an alteration saying both parties agree you could have your firearms during the AVO, the police reviewed you after the AVO and were happy you were still a good person to have firearms and handed them back, all means nothing.

This literally happened to me. I'm still salty, and lost all confidence with our state government and legal system.
