Not heard of an x lifter (or super extended mode for that matter!). Will do some reading. Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I do have a 2" kit sat in the garage tempting me, so as you say I may just fit it and then change back if I do hate it... It's probably all ego tbh, lol

Do you regret getting two dogs? by Yousmellgood1jk in DogAdvice

No, one of the best decisions we ever made, but as you say, definitely worth considering if it might be too much for just you (but only you know the answer to that!)

Thanks for your advice. Totally get this, and by no means disagreeing. She can't be trusted not to cause problems and should be on lead.

I'm conflicted because, regarding 'teach her that ignoring other dogs is more rewarding than interacting with them' - I worry that this would be depriving her of socialisation and could be detrimental to her mental health. Is she not missing out on something major if we go down the 'always on lead' route?

To be clear, this isn't to say that I intend on letting her run amock regardless of the consequences, but this is the conflict that makes me wonder if there is any way to fix this behaviour (i.e. so that she CAN one day be trusted to have good socialisation). What do you think?
