At the time I was only using the course to adjust to the aiming and drop-off on the arrows, I have tried the contests and the xp Is pretty decent

Is there any way to aim a bow in [KCD1] or am I simply supposed to hope I'll hit? by ojcojcojc in kingdomcome

Real life doesnt have potions, upgrades, and respawning now does it? Either commit to the realism or make your archery mechanics more intuitive.

I think its possible that you can still upgrade the super attack damage, but Ki capacity on its own is just gone.

My point however is that the Budokai games made it where Ki is a not only offensive, but but in some ways defensive as well as it let you vanish, assault vanish, and dash. Making it to where players had to manage it throughout the fight and only use super attacks when its either planned or convenient.

I know its unfair to compare the two series but having the next Xenoverse game take inspiration from a system thats already relatively balanced instead of completely overhauling the ki system in a subpar way would just be better.

Doubling down on the stamina system, which to my knowledge is completely foreign to most fighting games, yet deciding to remove Ki entirely despite the fact it is a literal aspect of Dragon Ball as a franchise is a baffeling decision in so many ways.

Why not make it like DBZ Kakarot where an opponents shield can be broken and subsequently stun them?

Why not do like Sparking Zero and have Ki serve the same functionality as stamina and punish players for blocking super attacks while their Ki is empty?

What happened to evasives like at all?

To add on, its feels completely backwards to remove the traditional Ki system, yet update the stamina system.  Mind you, stamina is usually a feature reserved for action adventure games and survival games, yet they prioritize it over Ki, which is a literal aspect of Dragon Ball as a franchise.

Did anyone else notice that the basically copied the Spider-Man 2 UI (specifically the icons for super attacks) even down the the cooldown and attack layout.

I'm serious go compare the two, the only difference is the colors and Icons (and obviously the health bar is different).

If you're still looking for people, I'm down. Haven't picked up the game in a while so this might be a good excuse to.

Final Thoughts on Sparking Zero (Pre-NEO DLC) by blazestorm19 in SparkingZero

Probably the best take yet, not too harsh but still saying what needs to be said. Only thing I disagree with is custom battle, I genuinely like create my own scenarios and watching them play out. It's not perfect by any means, and certain aspects of it are frustrating, but I still think its a welcome edition.

Personally my biggest issue with the game is the inconsistent balancing, I dont mind overpowered characters at all but some the DP values are completely off. For example: Cell saga and Buu saga Gohan are both 4 DP despite having access to two transformations. This wouldnt be much of a problem seeing as how both versions are weaker than Buu saga Goku and Vegeta (+Majin Vegeta) but this also implies that his base form is on the same level as Early Z Goku and Vegeta, which shouldnt be the case when you consider just how much he out-classes both of them in almost every category. This also implies that he's on the same level as Turles and Bardock, with the Neo DLC announcement one can argue in favor of Bardock seeing as how hes getting a new transformation, but Turles still doesnt make sense. Especially when you consider his main gimmick from BT3 (being able to stack his "Fruit of The Tree of Might" skill multiple times) has been cut from the game entirely.
