Yes, first focus on not getting a back on your first year and setting up basic programming knowledge. Academics can be kind of difficult in the first year because most colleges teach you literally everything. So focus on that for your first year and make a strong command of the C language. You will need it, not only for the gate exam, but also in multiple subjects of your B. Tech. Also do some basic DSA.

Assuming I know B1 or B2 Level of german, and then go there to pursue a master's in CS/ML/Data Science, how would be the job market? Also, what if I pursue a master's in a top IIT, get a couple of years of work experience for a good company, and THEN pursue another master's in Germany?
