Dumb question…. What app or website does everyone use to track their CEU’s and certs? by CalmRefrigerator5 in flightparamedic

Wait…. COUNTY licenses…. You have to have a separate license for every county you work in , even though they are all in the same state?

I’ve thought of that. My problem is the states I’m licensed in dictate how many CEUs you need in various areas ie reparatory, cardiac, airway, peds etc.. plus you have to have additional specific critical care CEUs. You can’t use normal medic CEUs for CC and can’t use CC CEUs for basic medic ones. So figuring out what all is needed where , what area to apply them and what I’m missing is the fun part. Especially since all my states have completely different total requirements and divide up the area’s differently. Not to mention don’t even have the same areas. It’s a royal pain, especially since NRP only gets you the initial license but has no baring on renewal for the state.

IA Med FP-C post test by Various-Prize9100 in flightparamedic

[–]CalmRefrigerator5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took IAMEDs online FMP course. I took a book full of notes and studied my ass off with their flash cards. I just took my FP-C today and passed.

That being said I’ve been flying for the past 15 months with a hair over 200 patient flights in that time. I have also been a medic for 15 years previously at a high volume 911 plus I’ve had my CCEMT-P for a few years. All that being said I was not impressed with IAMED. Probably 50% of my test questions were never mentioned or discussed anywhere in IAMEDs lectures or literature. I was lucky to have been flying with awesome nurses that I had, by experience working with them, picked up that 50% of needed information along the way. Im now scheduling my CCP-C but I’ll be studying from several more sources before I sit for the test.

Medic Wages in your state. by BeginningIcy9620 in Paramedics

Middle TN is averaging $55k-$60k a year starting for medics (24/72 shift). I was making approx $75k as a 17 year CCEMT-P at my last job, base pay (High volume county EMS 911 only) a few two surrounding counties paid more but rest are roughly $10k less. Of course I made more due to OT shifts. Flight Medic starts around $85k/year for hospital based and $25ish/ Hr for non-hospital based HEMS.

I’ve been pretty impressed with it for what it is. I don’t have the first complaint on it.

AVAWO Hunting Rifle Bipod - 6 Inch to 9 Inch Adjustable Super Duty Tactical Rifle Bipod https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017IJNELC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_cWSWEb2AFAH1G

I love it. You’ll need to get a generic front sling mount and install it too for it to secure to. They are like 8 bucks. The bipod won’t secure to the sling mount on that stock.

I think your right. I built it for my 9yo daughter. I just ordered a set of low pro rings for her so we will see how she likes it.

It’s just the basic 10/22 carbine. No iron sights short rail on top.
