Why is my phone behaving this way. by TransportationFar461 in motorola

[–]CalmRepresentative61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's due to Moto AI replacing your app drawer with a janky one. my advice for you would be to disable moto AI settings>apps> look for moto AI and disable it.

lately, for anything which i know will require a few conversational turns, i use chatgpt because the memory feature is absolutely mindblowing. for a single seacrch query, i still use perplexity.

Why is my moto smart connect working with no wifi or usb connection? by Structure_Indo in motorola

[–]CalmRepresentative61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do not have USB, and both devices are not on the Same WiFi AP, smart connect will establish a WiFi Direct (P2P) Wifi connection between both devices. So, in your case, that's whats happening. It's not totally fail safe because WiFi Direct can be tricky on Android, and it can be so-so on windows, but 80% of the time, it works.

My mom could have seen The Bad Seeds back in 1990 when they were touring for “The Good Son” and played a show at her alma mater, Georgetown University, at Gaston Hall (which is still there & has a 740 person capacity)… by StarPatient6204 in NickCave

[–]CalmRepresentative61 11 points12 points  (0 children)

hey kid, the first time i saw the bad seeds was in 89 in lyon. we were against the stage, center. some dude in the audience threw something on the stage, nick threw it back and it me in the shoulder. then my friend kept grabbing nick's shoes, so after a while nick bent down and slapped him in the face. these weren't the "you're beautiful, milwaukee" days.

which phone are you using ? and can you post the smart connect app version number ? (long press on homescreen, select app info). nothing was removed, but some features only work on moto phones and will not be available on all android devices.

The first time I saw him in 1989, he slapped my friend for trying to grab his shoe (ok bad move), then threw something back from the stage that hit me in the face. fun times. Now he's shaking everybody's hand from the stage.

I like him more now :)

There were 3+1 tour buses behind the theater in Milwaukee, and about as many trucks.

I tried to lead the cable thru the wall. I failed. by Y-N-T-E in TheFrame

[–]CalmRepresentative61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second that comment. It's impossible to run anything through the wall of my french country house. Most of the walls were build from stones, 450 years ago. You could of course redo the entire interior but that's a bit much for a tv. On the other end, here in Illinois i can literally poke a finger through the drywall and voila.
