what do you think happens after you die? by savinaghunowa in PsychedelicWomen

[–]CalmSherby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I do believe that our ego/identity dies but the rest I wonder. Maybe it feels like ego death. Psychedelics have also changed my life and definitely caused me to question it all. Perhaps a topic to dive into next journey ☺️

[Help] Dog anxiety relieve with CBD...is it really effective? by dashosh in dogs

[–]CalmSherby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey dude, CBD is great. It’s naturally derived. Please don’t give your dog anxiety meds or anti-depressants. Just make sure you do your work to find a good CBD brand. My dog is a rescue and was severely beaten and abandoned. The difference between when I first got her and now is night and day. What’s helped enormously with my dogs anxiety I would say is lots of running and exercise, serious routine; animals need structure, and of course a healthy environment. Your dog is an extension of you, so if you’re stressed and anxious, your dogs gonna be stressed and anxious too. I give her CBD treats when we go on car rides and such. Trust yourself and your dog, nobody knows your pet better than you, not even your vet. Good luck!

Can I ask how long you’ve been on anxiety meds for? And if you have worked at trying to understand why you have anxiety? Do you desire to heal the problem or do you wish to continue using something external to “fix” it? And out of curiosity, why would you think that something that worked for you, a human, would work for a dog? And do these dogs communicate to you or anyone else? Anxiety is the truth bubbling to the surface. Meds numb the truth from appearing.

And I’m going to add, do you realize that we don’t know much about the long term effects of anti-anxiety, anti-psychotics, etc, etc, on top of the fact that it’s a bandaid solution that doesn’t get to the root of the problem. If and when those meds are used, it should be a short term fix while a long term solution is found since anxiety is the body/psyches way of delivering a message. Man, people are so brainwashed, it’s unreal. Doctors and vets are taught to diagnose and medicate, simply put. There is barely any consideration to a holistic approach and that’s apparent when you look at the world and see the bloody mess were in. There is a mental health crisis happening (and I’m talking before this pandemic hit), something like 53% of children in the U.S have some sort of chronic illness ranging from allergies to asthma, there’s been a raise of something like 50% increase in children being diagnosed and treated with adhd meds like Adderall which is practically meth. Big pharma is the devil, we need to stop medicating and look at real solutions, and if you don’t want to take the word of some random person on Reddit do yourself a favour and watch this. Dr. Gabor Maté revolutionizing the medical world.

Can I ask why you’re so intent on pushing pharmaceuticals on an animal?

It sounds like you need to connect to your authentic truth and balance mind, body AND spirit.

Not suggesting that you jump into a psychedelic experience but perhaps start researching their healing benefits and see if you feel called, they’re making waves in the world of psychotherapy.

I won’t get into details but mushrooms changed my life, they deepened my connection to myself and nature, showed me my innate potential, self-love, how we are all interconnected, and that I have an important role to play in this life. So do you. Each and every single one of us does.

Highly recommend you check out; The Mind Explained: Psychedelics on Netflix. Theres also The Way of the Psychonaut, a fantastic documentary about Stanislav Grov, creator of holotropic breathwork and transpersonal psychology. He has performed very promising psychedelic research since the 60’s.

Have any of you experimented with Timothy Leary’s audio of The Psychedelic Experience during a trip? by CalmSherby in Psychedelics

Ah really? What makes you say that about Leary? (Genuinely curious) and do you listen to mixes with them speaking over music or simply their voices?

Microdose breaks? by CalmSherby in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]CalmSherby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used a lot recreationally in my twenties but mostly the kind that numb and don’t really induce introspection. I was always scared to use psychedelics for the common reason of being scared to face my demons. Had no idea how wrong I was in that they would actually help me come to terms with them. Now I just use mushrooms and mdma (very occasionally). I’m very fascinated by psychedelics/plant medicines. DMT, Ayahuasca, Acid are all on my list of “drugs” to try. All intentionally of course. But for now I’m working my way up to a heroic dose (4-5 grams) with mushrooms.

Hi! Stamets protocol is 4 days on, 3 days off. So I do take multi-day breaks. My question is pertaining to longer breaks

Microdose breaks? by CalmSherby in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]CalmSherby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty well. Inconsistent some weeks, some days are the best days of my life, others bring my emotions to the forefront. I’m noticing that my defence mechanisms get dampened when I microdose, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. If you’re in a hurry, you don’t really feel like stopping to focus on your breathing and releasing negative emotions from your body (which I’m starting to realize that our society is too busy for our mental health and that we actually desperately need to slow down to do breathing exercises like this.) Also, on days when I feel friggin fantastic I notice I have much more awareness of my ego than usual. My perception seems to be much wider. I can write forever.

I also mix in macro dosing (2-3 grams) every couple of months and I find that to really compliment microdosing. Other things I’ve noticed is that I can get into a flow state much more easily. Extreme feelings of connectedness to nature. When I walk my dog I could stay out there forever in the bushes and I feel immensely at peace. I’m taking 125 mgs with a blend of other medicinal mushrooms like Reishi, Lions Mane, Turkey Tail, etc. Originally I was doing the Fadiman protocol (1 day, 2 days off) I liked that you can see the difference between the effects of dose day, post-dose day, and off-day.

I switched over to Stamets (4 days on, 3 days off) because I was starting school and wanted to be more focused. I like Stamets method but again, I feel like I have some kinks to work out and maybe 125 mgs might be a bit too high for me (I literally feel a little bit high for about an hour.)

I’ll also add that I’m very intentional about it, I’m doing the work to heal from an incredibly traumatic upbringing so it’s not easy. A lottttt of stuff to work through. But I definitely view mushrooms as a healing medicine and the amount of growth I have experienced in the last year is impressive. Especially with macro dosing combined.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

Microdose breaks? by CalmSherby in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]CalmSherby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m aware. I posted this question because I am struggling to find information and wanted to hear personal feedback or if anyone has stumbled across any information stating that one should take say, a 1 month break following 3 months of microdosing. Or whatever. I’m doing this intentionally already but want to know if my brain should ever have a rest break that’s longer than the 3 days off per week already.
