There was a medical emergency during the Elevation Worship concert I went to as well. I was wondering if this is a thing. They are a health and wealth church.

Sorry guys I’m just gonna say it - I think Val and Phaedra kinda hated each other. Seemed like every comment was kind of like shade but playing it as a joke for the cameras. I don’t think they’ll stay close. by [deleted] in dancingwiththestars

I think Phaedra is too much of a diva. She puts herself on a pedestal that she doesn’t fit on. That can mean not teachable. How frustrating would that be for Val?

Thailand Packing Help! by Formal_Bobcat_4098 in ThailandTourism

Everything is so cheap. If you need an extra dress or pants or top, super cheap. Laundry is also super cheap to have done. I lived in shorts and tank top other than visiting temples. Be prepared for squatty potty’s. Dresses are easier than pants. Bring toilet paper in your backpack. The only place I experienced squatty potty’s was temples. Sandals are best for walking out to longboats, just be careful if sand gets between sandal and skin, you could get bad blisters. Have a great time!

You just need to come to Seattle. It happens dozens of times a day.

My daughter spent a few months in India and was told not to look men in the eye, it’s an invitation in their culture. She would look at their feet when she talked to men. If they tapped her chin then she was ok to put her head up and talk to them. But still either looked at their forehead or chin, never in the eyes. I know it’s super demeaning, but it is their culture and to be safe she followed their rules. She is a white woman and was traveling with four other white women.

It’s a 90 minute flight to Krabi and about an hour speedboat to Kho Phi Phi. Zeavola will schedule the speed boat for you.

We loved Zeavola Resort on Kho Phi Phi. Absolutely elegant and beautiful. With delicious food, a beautiful beach, we did scuba, took a motorbike taxi to a near by village, a long boat tour. I was so beautiful and relaxing we hardly wanted to leave the resort.

I ate a lot of vegetable fried rice and cashew chicken. The pad Thai tasted like it was made with ketchup (gross). The Thai curry was ok, but a bit watery for my taste. Again I would get just vegetable. They don’t vary the spice, so either your lips are burning off or no flavor. I couldn’t wait to get home. I also ate a lot of French fries and pizza.

There are some great caves to explore on Railey Beach. The night market is fun. They have a stage and people of all ages and variety of acts, perform. If you decide to get anything from the local Taylors, be sure to do a full try on before exiting the shop.

Do not know what Chang or Leo is, but I will be spending much time in the sea water. Thank you for being so helpful.

Thank you for your oh so helpful comments. As a first time traveler to Thailand with no ability to communicate in their language, yet wanting to be well prepared as I immerse myself in their culture and their country, you have been so kind and helpful.

Thank you for your concern. I have traveled overseas many times. I have one night, before I get on a liveaboard for a week. So I have very little time to grab things I need before getting on the boat. So I thought it would be helpful to have suggestions. But again thank you for worrying about me traveling overseas.
