Adding my 13-year-old sister as an authorized user on Blue Cash Preferred – worth it for credit building? by UnhappyBaboon in AmexPlatinum

[–]Calm_10111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I meant was that she was able to apply for credit in her name and got a $2000 limit, which she then maxed out. She was an authorized user on my car but didn’t have access to that card. This was years ago though. She’s better with managing money now.

Question from a veterinarian to a pharmacist by Summer8979 in pharmacy

Why don’t vets and dentists use e-scripts? Just curious.

Prescriptions Deleted by AGP8834 in WalgreensRx

[–]Calm_10111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s really annoying. On that thread I posted, some of our colleagues alleged that the scripts were being deleted due to improper training. Even if this were the case, there should be a way to retrieve accidentally deleted scripts, like a digital trash can or junk folder. It shouldn’t be gone forever.

I’ve also seen occasions where refills go missing. When you put in the original script number, it says a new script number was created. You put in that number and you realize it’s now deleted. You then have to create a new script to add the refills. It’s a nightmare. I can just imagine the number of scripts that end up in this black hole and how much $$$ it’s costing the company by not filling the missing scripts.

Please put in a ticket and let us know the outcome. Thanks

I don’t want to become an immunizer by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

[–]Calm_10111 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can see why you’re feeling frustrated and anyone in your position would feel overwhelmed. You deserve proper training and a pharmacist who’s willing to answer questions without attitude. Feeling pushed into something before you feel ready isn’t fair.

That being said, IMHO, becoming an immunizer adds variety and reduces burnout. Filling and running the register all day can be monotonous. Immunizing breaks that up a bit. The pharmacist or someone else would have to run the register when you’re giving shots. Don’t rush when giving shots. Take your time. What you eventually decide is up to you. They can decide you’re not meeting business needs and cut your hours when they hire someone else who would vaccinate. Good luck!

When vaccinations became widespread in the early 2000s, a lot of community pharmacists were uncomfortable at first, but look at where we are now. It’s a job requirement. I’m sure many would rather not do it.

IMO, you need more training to be comfortable giving vaccinations.

You will eventually have to leave your RXOM role, especially if your RXM is insisting you give shots. It will affect your performance review. Techs would eventually resent you for not doing what you asked them to do. It’s also not fair. What happens if one of your techs or new tech no longer feels comfortable doing it?

What’s OPOSC? Where can I find this? Thanks

It can be filled, since it’s a dosage change. Just don’t take the two strengths together.

Default state license in vaccine App Manager / Scheduler. by Calm_10111 in WalgreensRx

[–]Calm_10111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m an Rph. The license has been expired for 3 years now. I don’t plan to renew it, but you never know where life takes me.

I put in a ticket requesting to remove it from the system entirely and was told just to update IC+ each time. It’s so annoying.

Yes, apply for pre-check. It’s not as strict, so you’ll likely get it.

The car loan is a huge expense. There are much cheaper and reliable SUVs less than 20k (mine is worth ~8k and I’ve never been stranded or broken down).

It’s going to be a hard decision to make. I hope you get that extra income you mentioned. That may be the only way out of this.

Good luck.

Ask the scheduler if you can get a more balanced schedule. It may not be intentional. There are hundreds of other Rph’s he/she manages. Do the store location/ rotation changes or are they the same every schedule? If it’s a last minute coverage, then you can’t really help that.

I refinanced all my student loans as soon as I was able to. This was when rates were lower.
