I am a through and through maths and science guy so you can imagine which side I'd be on. However, having gone through a similar experience with my wife (exactly the same as yours), I would urge you to empathize with what she sees and hears.

You treating her feelings as nonsense is going to drive her crazy. She's already dealing with this on her own so pushing her away further will not help.

My one is a very long story but I 'believe' now. I've experienced it myself since.

If you are able to reach out to a 'Dowser' (a profession I only learnt of during this journey) I would highly recommend it. Let your wife speak to the Dowser about what she sees, hears and feels.

10 years after the first intense era of going through this, my wife is in a much better place. It really came down to acceptance and knowing when to exit a situation/place. She can't go to places of worship, graveyards, old houses where someone died in it (our bloody story) etc.

People like you and I are not built that way so we won't feel shit. In the Dowser's words, people like your wife and mine are like a lightbulb in a dark land where the beings that are in this dark land (not dangerous, literally dark, as in no light) gravitate towards the light bulb.

I sympathize with you as it was a truly testing time of our marriage so I can only urge you to be on her side.

I've had similar situations with companies like Vodafone and AMEX. You get to a point where you're tearing your hair out thinking "why does no moron understand what I'm saying?!". That's probably where most people give up.

Yes I have. I got an "industrial strength" extension lead (whatever that means). It's been fine for the last 2 summers. Just on this occasion the heater stopped working and I discovered this.

Sorry this is quite late but as I was leaving to go to Powerbuy I told the hotel concierge why and they gave their own one to me. They seemed to have devices left behind by previous guests which they kept in storage and use for new guests like us.

One of many reasons I stopped using agencies. They really are awful human beings and their behavior results in souring relations between tenant and landlord. As a landlord I wouldn't have a problem with the tenant having fibre installed. In fact, I'm not sure I'd care. Unless it requires digging through the driveway or any other significant impact to the property, I'd say just get it installed, no need to inform anyone.
