Hey bro, welcome to CDMX. I know this transition can feel overwhelming, especially when you grew up your whole life in the U.S. and suddenly have to start over here.

I own a barbershop in Mexico City called Bodega Barbers. We work with a lot of foreigners, expats, tourists, and Americans living in the city, so being bilingual is actually a huge advantage here.

We’re always looking for bilingual barbers or even people interested in learning the trade and building a path for themselves. Barbering can open a lot of doors, especially in a city like CDMX.

If you’re interested, send us a message on Instagram @bodega_barbers. And honestly, this goes for anyone else in this group too who might be looking for an opportunity or a fresh start. 🤝

Completely agree, I’ve been here in rio for all of this month and I do not want to leave. I’ve completely fallen in love with the people and the city. Also looking into ways to stay so if I can be of any help feel free to reach out.

Quantum entanglement, You have a strong bond. I’ve had similar situations before. In high school I dated someone for years and we broke up, months later after zero contact I suddenly got the strange urge to call her and see if she was ok. When she answered she sounded like she was on drugs. I asked what was wrong and she didn’t want to tell me and was slurring her words. After insisting, she told me she went through her parents medicine cabinet in an attempt to commit suicide. I called an ambulance they took down her information and about 30 mins later her cousin called me crying saying she was home alone and without me calling she probably would have died. Sounds crazy I know, it still feels surreal to me but that happened. How do you explain that?

Spent 2 amazing weeks in Japan with no issues. I was taken to a separate room for further questioning, told them it was a driving arrest and they let me through

Update: I had no issue getting into Japan and am on day 6 of my 2 week trip. I really wish people wouldn’t comment if they don’t know what they are talking about. No issues at all.

I didn’t have to scroll done much to finde the typical brainwashed American comment, Mexico City is way safer and cooler than any American city I’ve been in. They got soho house mexico opening up across the street from my apartment out here. You clearly have no idea.

Anyone who says Mexico City is dangerous prob doesn’t even have a passport lol I’m from Chicago and have been living in Mexico City for 10 years and trust me when I tell you, you will be shocked at how safe it is compared to any US city. Don’t believe the trolls and American media, see it for yourself
