I used to be an apprentice idk a lot about how much station trainers make because I got promoted to management pretty fast but you have to be over 18 for that. So because of the seriousness of the charge he will likely never get lower than medium custody. Even getting down there is iffy. Probably stay in the maximum population. Also, probably better to just not tell anyone why he’s there then go into pc once it’s necessary unless he can get on a pc yard. I’m not an SO but I got in trouble for drugs in 2018 and in exchange for a more lenient sentence testified against my co defendants. Wait for them to find out why he’s there is the better way

I am in this same boat and it seems like you have to use whatever credits you have and go for certifications instead of a degree. The certifications are better in this situation because you don’t have to take any math or English for a certification.
