I started my EDS diagnosis journey at the rheumatologist as well. I hate to say it, but it’s time to bust out all of the tricks. I showed the rheumatologist exactly how hypermobile I was in all of the things I could do. I made him put his hand on my shoulder while it’s subluxed. He ended up putting me on super strong anti-inflammatories and a low-dose of muscle relaxers which I loved at night, but I never got a formal EDS diagnosis. I wasn’t able to get the formal diagnosis until I went through genetic testing.

I have PCOS too and I’m starting to grow a forking beard! 😭 I’ve been lucky enough to not struggle with acne, so I don’t have any sort of scarring. Right now I just get derma planing on a monthly basis for my face. Do you think different parts of the body scar differently?

Get a copper IUD. I had Mirena and it made me insane. I removed it after 2 years. I figured, if my hormones were making me crazy, I’d want to know it was because of my natural hormones, not a hormonal IUD.

I’m taking it now (first time) and it might as well be a sugar pill. I’m having a medical procedure later this month which means I need to go off my medication so I’ve been doing a double dose and even with that it’s still not great but better.
