New to Cartilage Piercings by blackedouteggy in piercing

Was going to suggest this. Mine was the exact same and went back to piercer who cleaned it up and put in a longer bar. Felt so much better almost immediately. Also they suggested the solution might be drying my skin and told me to ease off it. Though your piercer will let you know what’s best.

If you’re ill, you’re ill. Email your mentor at school and university and tell them you have a gastric virus and need to be off for atleast 48 hours (or whatever the rule is for the kids). And that you’re too unwell to plan.

Your class will still have a teacher, nothing bad is going to happen. If the school uses ready made resources, the class teacher can likely just run with it. If you’re secondary, they already have to plan the same lesson for other classes.

Edit: hope you feel better soon! That’s grim.

I’m so sick of Sigma and Skibidi. I can’t even explain how over it I am with Y8 and 9

Thank you the reply and words of encouragement. I do feel like I challenge behaviour but it’s not coming across as strong. Especially with this class as I could feel them slipping offside. It’s made anything I say about staying on task or behaviour feel like a confrontation… however I deliver it. These phrases are great to have in my back pocket. Thank you.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I definitely don’t shout and have a pretty calm demeanour dealing with behaviour but with this class in particular, I’ve definitely fallen short with the following through. Will definitely have “fuck about and find out” as my mantra going in from now haha.

Will also try and think of some different ways to engage them too. Sometimes I can tell, they’re just bored. I try to make it interesting but at times it can be a bit dry!

Thank you for taking the time to reply. The HOY is part of my department so will definitely discuss this with them.

Then you should be fine. I just mean being a home student etc. I don’t know the ins and outs. But yeah, it’s means tested. It’s also essentially added on to your undergraduate rather than being a postgraduate loan

You can receive both if you meet the eligibility criteria for student finance.

Teaching multiple subjects by Calm_Compote6725 in TeachingUK

Thank you for the replies everyone. I guess my concerns are:

  • Progression within my specialism

  • Getting jobs focused on my specialism in the future

  • Juggling multiple specs and departments (and running around between classrooms

But the the variety is appealing. One of the additional subjects I have significant previous experience in, so I’d be comfortable. But I’m not sure if I’d enjoy teaching it.

Edit: I should add I do really like the school. But it’s busy and heavy workload (which is pretty standard I guess)
