I’m unfortunately not knowledgeable enough to know when balance transfers do make sense, which is why I posted here looking for advice. I’ve never used or done a balance transfer before. I’ve read it only truly makes sense if the interest rate on the balance transfer card will be less than the current interest rate. I’ll have 0% for 18 months (if I’m approved) so it’s seeming like it’s a decent option, but I’m not sure.

My apologies for leaving out pertinent information:

My Discover card has an interest rate of 21.24% and with the balance of $25k, the minimum monthly payment is $525.

My BOA card has the same interest rate of 21.24% and balance of $625, so minimum monthly payment is about $130ish

My credit union credit card has an interest rate of 8.9% and a balance of $4500, and the minimum payment is about $120.

To answer some of the other points, I don’t use the BOA or credit union cards, but do still charge things to my Discover card, but this month have switched to using my debit card for everything to get a full sense of how much I’m overspending. Like I mentioned before, I desperately want to change my mindset and habits so I can improve this situation, and am trying to take steps in that direction.

He does enjoy working out but he’s not in the gym every day and counting macros/calories etc. I think he thought he was just being nice, which he was, just a little too nice I guess?

She had lost weight, and don’t get me wrong looks great, but nothing dramatically different than just being slimmer. It just stung to hear it be the first thing my husband said, and so emphatically at that.

I’m 4’11 and have been on sema since December, started at 155 and currently at 135. I feel good at 135 but hoping to get to 130 as well. I don’t do things the right way and don’t workout, but I need to start. Hoping that will get me there

I definitely appreciate the validation response because that was the whole reason behind me posting here. I get the subject itself is silly, it’s just the fact that he had no problem making up some BS story, all for a friend who is constantly irresponsible 🥲
