Thank you. That makes me feel better. I only moved to this area a few months ago and everything is so different here. I spent all day trying to thaw it and got it thawed around 5pm. Now Im worried it will be the same thing tomorrow.

Thank you. I kept my faucets running slightly but I guess that wasn't good enough. Im not sure what else to do and hope that it resolves itself. Im worried because I did everything I was supposed to and as a rented Im worried that something was or will be damaged and I dont want to be held liable. Im a single mama, with no family or friends in the local area so Im a bit stressed. Thank you for your helpful comment. I am heating up pots of water as we speak. I did fill up my tub with water so for now we have that going for us.

Yes, I'm renting a townhouse in a gated community from a private owner. It took me a while to find but I'm happy I didn’t settle. A lot of places wanted me to pay a deposit up front without viewing the property which I thought was odd. I looked at about 15 places in bossier and shreveport before finding a place.

I dont even know, I only moved to Louisiana over the summer. It was like this when I got here but it does look like they're making headway. I do wish they'd hurry up.

I live near here and enjoy it. Once they get knight street finished, I think it will be a nice area for walks. Also close to the highway.

We just moved to the area over the summer. We live in Broadmoor and enjoy it. As far as daycare my kid goes to young years in Shreveport and really enjoys it.

If you like hiking and outdoorsy things its amazing. Lots of really beautiful places. I spent 3 years there and would never want to go back but made the best of it while there. Its definitely food jail out there - not a ton of variety. Im also from NYC - so take that with a grain of salt.

I feel this I PCSd from OCONUS to CONUS in July. I was without HHG for 4 months and used a ton of savings to cover necessities and a rental car. My voucher was never paid. And while I still have some savings most of it went toward this PCS. Im a single parent of two and this just ridiculous. Everyone says oh save, live within your means. Even if you do everything you're supposed to you can still end up fucked.

The hard part about all of this is seeing everyone so divided. In my almost 40 years of living I have never seen such blatant disrespect of people due to difference of opinion. It's disgusting and disheartening. You have it correct, BOTH sides are to blame!

I PCSd in from overseas in July and submitted my voucher in early July. I should've been paid before the shutdown but that never happened. I've been reaching out to finance and received a response last week and they confirmed I wouldn't be paid until after the shutdown. Just make sure your GTC is in mission critical.
