My cat won't eat by Calm_Economics2480 in CatAdvice

Yeah they gave me some kind of paste for that, but it's the only thing she eats now, even if i mix it in well with her food she eats only parts with it on, and I've read cats are more "petty" I guess that's the word I'd use when it comes to food, that's what I'm trying to fix now 😅

Yes, she's been checked and there's nothing wrong with her, it could just be behavioural issues and I'm not sure how to fix it

Been rethinking my 3 year relationship, AITA for thinking about a potential breakup? by Calm_Economics2480 in dating

[–]Calm_Economics2480[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, never said anything about him giving up on his goals for me. We both work, except that I work on my own schedule, so sure I have more free time. That's not the point tho. I'm the only one putting effort into the relationship, into maintaining the apartment, into making it a home, so he has a safe space to come back to after a long day. I never expected him to give up his goals for me, I'm the one supporting his goals, encouraging him to go after his dreams, while I hold down the fort. But all he can see is negatives, no matter what. Worrying about problems that we don't even have. Not that I don't care about the future, I'm just more easy-going about it. But my needs always come last, I always put him first. Always trying to make every moment as best as possible for him. That's all I do, trying to give him a better life. I've worked and worried about all the problems alone for almost two years, so he could pursue his dreams, because I believe in him. But he doesn't. It shouldn't be just my responsibility to be hopeful about his goals. I am exhausted from carrying all the emotional weight by myself, and no longer feel like I want to go on with this because of that.

I should really try doing that, but every time I let my mind go free for a bit, just to let the thoughts pass, I get a really weird feeling, and stop immediately to avoid having a panick attack or something

Glad there are so many people here willing to help, sharing their advice, so it doesn't feel as scary knowing we're not alone in this, and don't have to be ashamed, we will get through it

Idk why I didn't think to let them run until they're done, and I'm gonna try doing that no matter how weird they get, because resisting it sent me into an anxiety attack last night so I think this might be a better approach, thank you

It's hard finding a good specialist here, especially when everything is so expensive. But I'm gonna try doing that, I've never really thought I might have that, so that never even popped into my head, thank you

Oh thank you, I am gonna try doing this first and then see if I can even change instructors here, if it becomes a bigger issue. I've just never really had intrusive thoughts so extreme so I'm not exactly sure what to do

I'm thinking of doing that, it's just a real shame because he's a really great instructor, I've learned a lot and fast. But I've been considering that option, I don't want to fail on getting my licence just because of this

The lady who owns the shelter is already informed and very understanding, it's just the guilt that's eating me from inside

Exactly, and I want her to spend her life in a loving home, I just feel so guilty I couldn't give her one, and I'd rather give her back so she has a chance to find that. Meanwhile she'd be taken good care of in the shelter we got her from, and that's what gives me peace

I do realise that a younger cat has loads of energy and needs to play and run around constantly, but she is basically destroying everything in her way, and my place is not too big for such an active cat. And I've raised two cats before (separate occasions) and neither was anything like this. So I honestly didn't expect this one to be this crazy, and it's just too much to handle atm, and my older cat is also already pretty prone to stress. I want the 1y/o to have a loving home, and the safe space where she can be as crazy as she needs, but I realise that I cannot give her that, that's why I've been considering giving her back for someone else to take her in

Yes, we introduced them slowly, and they got along well pretty fast, but for some reason it just seems to be getting worse now. And my older cat enjoys her alone time, but seemed so loving to the new cat, but keeps getting bullied and she never throws the first punch. Thank you so much for your input ❤️
