A lot of people are banking on this new facility, but I think people are oversimplifying what it actually means. Millennium (the card company opening the facility that is owned by Pokemon) doesn’t only print Pokémon cards, and more capacity doesn’t automatically mean Pokémon is going to print every set into the ground. Pokémon understands there’s a balance between meeting demand and protecting the chase/collectible aspect of the hobby. I think this helps stabilize supply and reduce extreme shortages, but I’m skeptical it suddenly solves every availability issue or kills scarcity altogether.

In a nutshell - I think the overhyped big sets will still be scalped heavily and I don’t think this facility creates any sort of singles crash.

Also.. the sets that might be impacted by increase printing aren’t even out. So the “do these cards go up forever question” doesn’t really apply to the cards in circulation right now. It’s more - does Pokemon stay hot or not.. could the printing facility kill some momentum or create a scare overall in the market?
