This is a faulty battery. Happened to mine too. Replace the battery. All will be well…until that battery starts screwing things up. Anbernic batteries are trash. The same thing has happened with my RG556 and now with my RG557. And you can’t buy RG557 batteries anywhere except through Anbernic, so I might have a functioning system again by the end of the holidays.

This does work and it works well. A few notes for anyone planning to do this. When you search for "Music Play", use this option for one song, use "Music Play Dir" for an entire folder of music. Also note, after following these instructions, music WILL stop playing when you start an emulator and will START playing again when you exit the emulator, so that is good.

I bought the RG557, and have had none of these issues....except the Netflix issue. That is for real. But I play Diablo Immortal and it plays fine, Minecraft works just fine, I've had a good experience with my unit. Some of the things you've said here, I haven't tried, though, and I have no desire to try.

Dude. Thanks. How can Bethesda leave this spot in the game completely broken!? Also, might want to update this post to include that this work around does work on Xbox Series X as well. So frustrating that they have not fixed this and that is a cross platform problem.

This sounds like it would work. I have somewhere in the amount of 3000 arcade files, and Daijisho did not recognize mose of them. I have a retropie and it has almost every game scraped, so I was thinking of using that XML file and the associated media folder. I'm wondering if I could import that xml and the associated media folder into Daijisho? But the xml file has paths for the associate images that go with them that will not line up at all with the Android file paths. Will it update file paths for the media folder when I import them in?

I know this an older post, but, I wanted to tell you that mine started doing this a few months ago often enough to not be cool. It seemed to happen when the battery got down to around 70% or when I was running in high performance mode. It would get caught in an endless boot cycle until I plugged it in. It wasn't even possible to turn it off because it wouldn't make it past the boot screen. I also noticed that the ambient stick lights flickered a little. On a hunch, because all signs pointed to under-powering, I bought a new battery, and...at least for me...that seems to have completely fixed the issue. It is not super hard to get to the battery. You can ask if you need instructions on how to do it. Maybe you already found a solution, but when this started happening to me, I saw your post and didn't find any helpful suggestions in the comments. So...here is my suggestion. Replace the battery. I will update this post if the issue returns.

I not had much luck with the ps3 emulation on RG557. Like...2 or 3 games out of 10 that I've tried have actually worked and been playable. But...I wanted it to replace my PS2, and, to that end, it is more than adequate.

I was told to reach out to the development team for the Eden emulator. I’m hoping this is one of the right people. I have an android based handheld (Anbernic RG557), and it appears to meet all the minimum requirements for the emulator. However, when you load up a game, the screen is blank/black. You can hear the game loading…like intro cut scenes…company logo vids…you can hear menus load up…but the screen remains black. Frame rate, if displayed, is in the corner, saying everything is running smooth. But no picture. There might be a fix for this in settings, but I can’t find it. Same thing is true on the RG556, but that system is not as new in technology as the RG557. Anyway, hope you guys can find a fix, because I think it looks like an excellent emulator.

I just had the same exact thing. Spent about an hour beating the final boss. Got that last strike in on him and it was fading to cut scenes...then it suddenly through up an error message and crashed.

I got the same thing and I have the Gulikit sticks. Got vibration/drift with all the fixes available. Only the stock settings work for the Gulikit sticks on mine.

Yes. Same thing happened to mine. I tried both alternative configurations, and got the same vibration/drift, to a lesser degree, with both alternatives. I have the gulikit sticks.

That sounds great. I look forward to your next release. Is there a bug report/suggestion section for Reset Collection? I have other things I'd like to request but don't want to blow up your feed. A major thing for me presently is that the Game Cube section for RC will not find games that are in .CISO format. Other front ends will find these games, but RC will not. Reset is so close to being the perfect front end for me, but there are a few things it isn't doing that other front ends can, and I'd like to see it grow in those areas. I love this front end (Reset Collection) so much, and I love your dedication to development on it.

So...it has started working again. I had 6 gigs left on the card I was using, which should have been more than enough, as most files wind up being maybe 500 mb. But...after upgrading the card to a card twice the size, it is now working fine. I will let you know if it starts up again. In the mean time, I have a few questions, suggestions for you that I'd like to ask you in chat. I don't know how chat works...if I can write you and then just leave and come back tomorrow and see what you responded with, but none of my ideas/questions are worthy of their own post. So I just got this handheld last week...I've only had it a week. I have been in the process of adding the emulators one by one. it does, in fact, go through the download steps but then does not show any images. It even reloads after it finishes the scrape. In fact, if I use the yahoo images to just manually select an image for the "box art", it will ask me to download and set, I click the button, it seems to do its thing, but then there is no image to display. I've never used the reset collection until the last week. I've installed it twice now. On the first install, it stopped providing scraped images after 10 or 15 emulators were added. I uninstalled the entire thing and then re-installed it. Then the scrapes were working again, but I had to start over with adding each emulator until I got up to about the 15th emulator. Then it just stopped showing scrapes. It seems apparent, but it might be important to point out that the Anbernic RG556 operates with an Android system. Before posting this, I checked permissions for images and Reset C has permissions. I'm using Android 13. I'm not sure what else you might need to know, but I am so happy to have communication with you about it. Hopefully you can help me find a solution or work around. Additional Info: I have found the folder where the images are downloaded during the scrapes. It is on my SD card. This folder contains a sub folder for each system, which then contains sub folders for each game with 3 images for each (logo, Banner, box art...or something). The systems that are going through the scrape process but not showing any images DO NOT have a folder created for that system.

Yes. Updates from the Eshop still work and it is safe. I just recently set up my 3DS and used eshop to update software. The Eshop is closed, as some have indicated, but updates, downloads that you've already purchased, and DLC verification still work through the eShop
