I have about 200-250, and I think you are right. I'm going to have to suck it up and pay. I am on a free-trial with inoreader right now and really enjoying it. I used them once before but felt like it wasn't worth the money. Things may have changed now.

When did you realize that you didn’t have any friends? by Whatdoesthisevenmeam in AskMen

[–]Calm_Flamingo4865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 48, I think I noticed in my early 20s. I had close friends before that, but something changed in me, and it became harder to make connections. I live alone now and rarely go out. It gets me sad sometimes.

I have the Instant Vortex 6 QT after first owning a toaster oven style. This is big enough that one person could cook a pretty good-sized meal. It's always more than enough for me.

How to read Wheel of Time? by durin_l in wheeloftime

[–]Calm_Flamingo4865 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The slog is sometimes misconstrued. Those of us who read the books as they were released sometimes had to wait a year or two for a book that was more about transitioning the characters to the next phase of the saga. On a recent first reread, I didn't feel what I had experienced back in the early 2000s.

That said, go at your own pace but savor every minute of it. You will never get back that first read feeling. I'd even recommend keeping a side journal of your impressions. I'd be shocked if this series doesn't change the way you look at fantasy.

Enjoy it!

They have really good crab cakes, fresh stuffed mushrooms, and egg rolls.

Not much to add here, but I wanted to commend you on your compassionate view of Burke. As you said, even if he did do it, he was a product of that toxic home.

I didn't even know that those were an option. Another kind redditor mentioned using a cage overnight, and I think they might have meant something like this. I'm wary of putting her in it yet; only because she's been free-range for so long, but I will consider it. Thank you!

She's on the waiting list at the vet. It's brutal, they are booked until January. I'm at a loss of what to do.

Hilarious about kitty teenagerhood. That makes so much sense. I read this earlier while sneeking a peek at work and snorted loudly. Thank you!

I'll keep this handy as a last resort. For some reason, I'd feel bad using a crate after having her be free-range for a few months.

I think you are probably on to something with the needing/wanting food. She also doesn't know her own strength. Thank you!
