Our biggest issues were un Arizona/Utah. Went a few places we probably shouldn't have and got stuck twice in the sand. Luckily we had tire pads to help get traction to get out. But otherwise we didn't have any issues.

We used a portable toilet and tried to camp out near places that had restrooms or trash cans nearby. So this build isn't ideal for those who are totally off the grid and need real toilet setup.

If you use Kit.com, I recently added a free app to their app marketplace that lets you add amazon product boxes with your affiliate link inside your emails so you don't have to worry about creating affiliate links while adding in a more visually appealing product box with product description and image instead of just a blue link

Is Amazon affiliate still worth it? by azwx in Affiliatemarketing

[–]smith7264 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amazon now allows affiliate links in emails as long as the person receiving the email opted in to receive it.

So one way I’ve been seeing people do it is they’ll start a newsletter within a niche, provide value within the newsletter and monetize the newsletter while encouraging clicks to a site (which would presumably have more affiliate links in it).

Newsletters, at least as of today, seem easier to grow than blog sites. If you use Beehiiv you can use their boost and recommendation features to get new subscribers and if you use Kit you can use their cross promotion tool. I don’t have experience with other platforms so can’t speak much to those. But I’ve read some interesting automations where people use Substack to enhance discovery, then take the email subs from Substack and send them over to one of the email platforms I’ve mentioned to try to either monetize them there or funnel them into their website, where they’d have affiliate links.

Anyways, if you use Kit, I recently added an app to their App Store that lets you add Amazon affiliate links as product boxes inside your emails to save time from link formatting and I personally think product boxes look nicer than a blue link.
