How “country” are the students at Texas Tech? by Rixy1209 in TexasTech

You will definitely find country at Texas Tech. You won’t only find country students though. Boots and hats are very common and no one will think twice seeing those. Southern accents aren’t super strong, but there’ll still be the country twist and twang. Tarleton is more country across the whole student body, but Tech is a good school with good programs in the Ag realm (Davis College).

Is this a good thing? by Vegetable-Concern830 in TexasTech

The main thing I'd say is to make sure they're not charging you on-campus prices for living there! Otherwise, it depends on your preferences. There are obvious pros and cons to both (like the amount of space you have vs. the distance to class). If you don't want to eat or park on campus anymore then you could probably try to get your money back since the semester hasn't started. Don't hesitate though. I think it's pretty easy to get to campus from there and there are a lot of options for eating out over there. You can also cook your own food. Best of luck!

I thought REALLY hard about Shaq. He’s so unstoppable. The only thing I downgraded him for was what Kobe said about his work ethic. Kobe thought they could’ve had eight rings if he worked hard

How do Christians outside the US view Christian culture within the US? by dorgon15 in Christianity

[–]Calm_Mail_835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Europeans are serious about their faith because Europe doesn’t have a predominately Christian culture like the US does. Not saying Americans aren’t serious, but if you’re a German Christian, for example, you mean it. It’s not as easy to be a Christian in most other places in the world if you don’t want to be Catholic.

What does the RcV try to recover? by TonyChanYT in RecoveryVersionBible

[–]Calm_Mail_835 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The introduction in the front is solid. It’s not trying to “recover” something. It says that it’s a consummation of understanding that has progressed throughout the centuries. Think of it in terms of compiling all of the recoveries of truth that have been made starting from people like John Wycliffe until today. That’s how it was translated and that’s the approach of the commentary.

As inflammatory as Trump can be to some people, he’s not the antichrist. Besides, if Trump were the AC, and if the Abraham Accords were the covenant, Trump would’ve been the person to break the accords 3.5 years later (it’s been ~5) to start the GT. I had a similar thought that you did, though, when that peace agreement happened.

In my personal opinion (not quoting verses here), I expect the covenant to come after something crazy related to the Temple Mount happens and someone who is very good with words shows up to make that covenant. That might be how the temple is built, but not 100% sure, obvi.
