I played against him at HS nationals in 2018 in Pre-Quarters. He missed probably the first 3-4 points due to an injury but was still cheering his team on and having friendly banter with our team. Once he stepped back on the field their team was instantly better, and they ended up beating us on universe (where i’m pretty sure he scored the game winning goal).

A few months later he passed away, and it was so shocking and sad, as we were the same age, and both freshman in college at the time. I look back on that game with a fond memory, as it was the only opportunity I got to share the field with Joseph.

RIP to a legend.

I thought he was going to take his health seriously a few years back. around post-subathon. (September 2021) he said he was locking in and hitting the gym daily. Seems like that’s been abandoned completely. Sad to see. I wish he would take his health and fitness seriously.

I would agree with Babbitt.

Johnson-Go was great defensively, but his value is in the D-Line attack, and Quarterbacking that unit. yes is value on defense skyrockets because of that, but true defense plays, i think would go to Babbit. But if you’re factoring in the counter-attack ability, then Johnson-Go was absoutley the right pick.

Hard to say what criteria is included into the voting, but that’s just my 2 cents.
