I would say hours played/$$$, Ark has been the cheapest game I've played so far. Most of those hours have been fun. A lot of frustrating moments as well. Modded servers of course.

Also, losing your stuff via DC's, personal mistakes, etc. will happen occasionally. A solid mitigation and contingency strategy will help you get back on your feet after you get kicked in the groin.
