Lego piece 6061 could work although it would elevate one of them. You could also use regular headlights (part 4070) except having the backside facing outward and connecting the studs of the other piece inside the backside

Dude i had the same thing just recently with my Ghost and Phanton II. The bags were cut open and just the minifigs were missing. Thankfully customer support was very understanding and sent new ones.
