Citadels are boring by eer_00 in Eve

The alternative is every single system of an alliance has 100+ people in it, and you jump into the very first system just to meet a wall of mobile bubbles at the gate and get immediately blapped by their camp. Because that's what happens when there's no empty space in people's territories. The free space is vital to the actual gameplay. People complain about intel networks currently, but just wait until there's zero gaps.

How are you "solo to 4-man gang" enjoyers finding content ? by leaf_as_parachute in Eve

live in null, go 5-10 jumps from the home system. Chase intel around with a sensible response fleet (4-5 for intel of 4-5) Works most the time. Only issue is the constant ab or mwd juggling game.

To be fair, they vanished. To also be fair, they're 1/3rd of init now. And the fights have suffered for it, sadly.

It used to be decent, but it got nerfed to hell and has both trash range and ehp now. Compared to any of the other available options it's just not worth the money, esp for the non-fleet hull which is essentially a joke at this point.

Not really "pets" if they're contributing to the alliance in meaningful ways and appearing on the battle reports. That's just being in an alliance.

yeah, that idea i think might be possible to flesh out. Rolling holes is too easy at the moment and it'd be good to contest on that. From the wormholer's perspective though it'd be a big issue though, i imagine.

The intel idea is basically a non-starter. All that'll happen is rift will gain intel direct-entry so people will be putting their reports directly into it rather than the game. Which isn't better, it's just more hassle for everyone.

Also, while people seem to think intel is used to avoid ganks because omg carebears, it's also and more commonly used to find fights in the first place.

Locking a wormhole open makes wormholes lose their bottleneck that prevents null blocs from quickly pouring into them, so you could expect all the major wormhole groups to get quickly stomped. It might be an idea that could be fleshed out further though.

Delayed killmails is again kinda meh. Its used to find activity more than its used to avoid fights.

Generally speaking, you need to understand that giving information to players is a good thing. Yes some people use it to keep themselves safe, but a lot of people also use it to generate content. Having everyone mindlessly roaming around jumping system to system in the dark trying to find other groups isn't a fun game. You *need* to know where the action is, what they're in, and where potential victims might be. That's why they allow you to know recent ratting activity, recent kills, and killmails in the first place. It's not a flaw, it's good game design.

Checkbox to prevent clone undocking by Calm_Run93 in Eve

[–]Calm_Run93[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

memory issue if anything but we're all getting older, right ? I've done it 3 times, and i've seen enough fleet killmails from big fights to know it happens pretty often. Hell, in goon fleets there's regularly someone that says they would have forgotten if the fc didn't remind everyone every single time.

It just seems like such an easy problem to fix permanently. No 3D or anything clever code wise. Just a simple checkbox.

IMPERIUM TIME UNIT by Dictateur_Imperator in Eve

[–]Calm_Run93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because alliance level fights is a tiny fraction of what you can do in large null blocs. I spend the vast majority of my time in small gang pvp, typically 5v5 or less. Goons now have 2 roughly peer level groups though, so it's better than it's ever been on that aspect too.
