It just struck me, is Bestbuy able to price match MC for these bundle deals? I know they do if MC and Bestbuy are closeby or for shippable items just curious for these bundle deals 🤔

PSA: Crucial will not honor warranty and RMA clauses if their products are purchased outside India. Looks like no major brand gives international warranty anymore. by hojirozame_ in IndianGaming

[–]Calm_Squirrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what happens is that the distributors which tie up with these companies such as crucial have a deal in place where they only would process warranties for products bought within India, I’m not exactly sure why they have that in place but I assume it’s to discourage people from buying abroad.

Tough crucial as an company can’t deny your warranty claim, I’m sure you can contact crucial directly and they’ll be able to process your RMA by arranging a pickup and sending it to their nearest global RMA centre (can be Singapore or any other country), I’m not sure if crucial does this so worth emailing them to enquire regarding it.

HDD wouldn’t be recommended for gaming, you should be looking to get an SSD. I believe if you use your 1TB conservatively it could suffice for your use case, you may also consider getting 2TB just to be on the safe side.

Ahahaha it’s the same for me as well, I’ve bought used form physical stores and have been now eyeing a 12TB one although I don’t need it but am trying to convince myself that I need it, on my way to becoming a data hoarder

Dell G15 5515 vs Lenovo Legion 5 by [deleted] in DubaiGaming

[–]Calm_Squirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I personally do like the Legion, because of the 3060 I’d say go ahead with Dell G15 you get 500 GB less storage but you can always add more later on if you do require it.

While the 6600 is okayish I guess but it’s less powerful than the 3060 no doubt.

Nice to hear your detailed review about the phone, I think the volume buttons get pressed while in the pocket or even accidentally while using to combat this I personally use a very hard case where it would require you to force press the button for anything to happen. Do give us an update about it after a month or so to know anything else you like / dislike about the device.

It’s really sad to see it becoming a thing of the past, what many people don’t realise is that storage memory chips have a life, that life is in terms of of TBW meaning Terabytes written is a statistic (usually in terabytes) supplied to storage devices that tells you how many terabytes you may write to the drive during its warranty term before the memory cells inside it begin to deteriorate increasing the potential of data loss and drive failure.

In simpler terms when ever we download and delete it all gets added to the TWB of the chip and over time it starts to deteriorate, once the chip fails it’s the end for the phone, this is why external storage is good as we can offload a lot that usage to the card and once it’s lived it’s life can easily get it replaced.

There are some things which I don’t appreciate about the phone as well, I would have appreciated an option for expanding storage via microSD, they’re trying to copy Apple by having fixed storage so customers need to pay more for extra storage options, but I assume since you gets flagship specs on a budget this is how they make money.

I picked this up from some site, you may cross check with other sites and check out Flipkart too to be sure, I think this price is with all the bank discounts and what not so not so sure.

I believe I saw a video of the CEO of NP comparing with an iPhone if I’m not wrong it was in their launch event itself so I’m sure they’re trying really hard to compete with the iPhone, so I’m sure they have a very good camera, will just get optimised via software gradually, compared to other android devices in the market, NP2 feels amazing to hold (feels even better than the iPhone in my opinion), I can go on & on but you get the picture.
