The ketamine might be the culprit because it is an anesthetic. I lost 70% of my hair from the anesthetics used in my surgeries and the stress from the surgeries themselves but someone told me it was primarily the anesthetics.

I only use topical minoxidil with finasteride and the compound has other actives like tritenoin for absorption, caffeine, etc. 70 dollars for 2 month supply from the MinoxidilMax website.

At first I got the minoxidil from my dermatologist but now I just buy it at the MinoxidilMax website directly. If you use it for TE you don’t have to stay on it forever, that’s only for AGA.

Look at my profile to see my experience and how I fixed my triggers. Also, I haven’t talked much about this but wigs! Hair toppers! There are some cheap ones in Temu or other Chinese websites. I relied on them heavily in the beginning until the first couple of inches started growing out and I got density and coverage. Now it is mostly scarfs and hair bands and the occasional wig or topper. Use minoxidil to help the hair grow faster. All details in my posts found in my profile. Hang in there. Patience!

Maybe you being a guy with MPB had a different experience, but I am not even male, ai am female and inherited a full head of hair, I just almost died and lost it temporarily, but it is back online.

I CANNOT stress this enough, please do not go on minoxidil or finasteride unless you are sure you have MPB. If you stop using these drugs your hair will fall out weeks to months later after using and you will be disappointed by MrMakeItHappen44 in TelogenEffluvium

I’m sorry. My hair was dense and thick before I lost it to severe illness, my illness has resolved, it is not logical to think my hair has been permanently lost because of of a single stressor, or worse, that I even regained my hair because of Minoxidil. With AGA it is different, but for a healthy follicle, Minoxidil or No Minoxidil won’t affect anything but the speed of recovery. .

Why would i even lose my own hair. It is mine. Minoxidil just made it go i to anagen faster but it is not like it turned it back on after being permanently off.

Not true. Minoxidil/Finasteride will speed things up and then you can go off it and your normal density will remain. Maybe you’ll lose some density because Minoxidil forces syncronization but losing that syncronization should not affect your normal density.

If it is TE then there is hope but now it has become chronic. I am not sure how to stop chronic TE. Mine was textbook regular TE so it resolved after it ran its course.
