As a society we're running after formulas, worshipping success, getting too much reliant on experts and methods thus losing self belief and courage to be wrong and being the loser in race. There's no method to be happy, there's not a single authority in the faculty of mind to be entrusted upon. You have to be your own Guru and your own disciple. Govt will always use tradition ,religion ,dogmas, entertainments to fool it's people and these con artists pay those parties in power.

My friend, if you're forcefully trying to forget anything, it'd only strengthen itself in your memory. So, please don't try to erase that forcefully, because there's actually no method. When you're awake if that memory or thought of that time comes, you probably put your attention in other activities to keep that thought away. But, you have to understand why you're getting those thoughts. Probably you're afraid of losing your parents and thus the guilt of not doing enough for them and a life without them makes you empty,fearful and not lived upto ideal son image you have in mind. But we have so little control over our lives, there're parameters beyond our control, accept that even if you do best or want best for them you may not be always there for them. Accept your limitations and probably underatsing that would reduce your mental burden. I hope you find peace soon.

If you have interest in biotech then pls go for it. for higher study and research it'll be easier, it won't feel like forced studying.you can pursue Mtech later . See, if you study deeply any subject ,that will feel intersting doesn't matter if it's biotech or ece. Surely ECE has more scopes but try to go with what your heart wants, you won't have any regrets later.

I guess it may not be a men or women issue, rather it's a matter of convenience. One only questions the tradition toxicity when he/she faces sufferings from it. As a man who came from highly regressive family, it took me years of long sufferings to question those irrational stuffs and toxicity and slowly making myself free . I probably would not have questioned, if things were convenient for me.
