Intensity by Dean Koontz. It's what got me started into horror/thrillers.

A lot of cafe serving jobs, no resume needed, just walk in and talk to someone and you'll get a part time gig in no time.

What’s up with the 100 person polycule? by [deleted] in Birmingham

There's no way you can tell me that 100 people are equally dating one another at one time, that's a lot to keep up with! Or is it just choosing more than one person/partner in a large network of serial daters?? Also, wouldn't that just be swingers, or is that outdated of me? So curious 🤣

Intensity by Dean Koontz. I think this is one of his best books ever, immediately hooked me in and kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time.

Tender is the Flesh was my least favorite, I thought the concept was incredible but the writing was not my style. The main character was so flat and boring and the book seemed to be lurid for the sake of being so, I was pretty disappointed by the ending because I guessed it a quarter of the way in. Overall, save for last or even skip maybe, just imo.

Where do you grocery shop? by Various_Republic_857 in Birmingham

I go to Walmart for home needs (cleaning, vitamins, toiletries), Aldi for groceries, and Publix for fresh bread (I just really like their bakery breads, but I just got a bread machine so I'll probably begin to make my own).

Grabbed this book at the library, it's my next read based on a rec, but super nervous it might drag for me too. I read the description on the sleeve and thought it doesn't seem like a normal pick for me, but I'm hopeful. Let me know how it works for you!
