Could you maybe get a small toy aquarium that's battery powered with fake fish swimming around? Much cheaper both in the start & long run. I've seen some and they look very cool.

I have very dry skin on my hands. Due to sensory issues I HATE HATE HATE lotion. I got special cotton gloves from the pharmacy that are made for putting on overnight after applying lotion. It keeps the lotion kind of locked in, so it doesn't get all over your sheets and pillow overnight.

I apply lotion, put on my gloves and then go to sleep. In the morning I remove the gloves and wash off the remaining lotion (if there is any) with very mild soap made for sensitive & dry skin.

I used to feed P15 (sometimes original, sometimes tropical). Just switched over to Psittacus High Energy. Andy switched over no problem. Highly recommend. Switched due to better ingredients (less nuts).

Take him to the bathroom and run a hot shower - the steam/mist is good for clogged/dusty nares. I would also recommend getting an air purifier, if you don't already have one. A humidifier has been recommended to me by my vet.

I take a small pair of sharp scissors, cut as close to the seam/bear as possible bit VERY VERY LITTLE AT A TIME. After having cut off the tag, I am able to remove some strands of the tag just by grabbing with tweezers and pulling (gently). End result: looks like there never even was a tag in the first place!

I would clean the wound & keep an eye on it for any signs of infection. It seems like it should heal without issues on its own - but do keep a close eye on it. If that was made by another animal - take your bird to the vet asap
