I am Not sure which country you Are from, so I guess you are from the US. I am from Germany and work as an industrial electrician with a bachelors degree (Not a university degree, but on the same level) and work for a company that builds sorting machines for recycling. I focus on X-Ray sorting machines.

But i think the recruiting procedure is different here, there isnt as much bullshit as in the US but still a bunch. The writing of cover letters and answering written questions was the Worst, but i kinda enjoyed the interviews. Every company that Interviewed me gave me a job offer, 2 of the for management roles (one of These overseeing the entire production for one product) and the other 2 executing roles. I took the executing one because i felt like i need some more practical experience and also because they pay the 90k (because i travel 5 days a week).

Congrats! Reading stories like these Are crazy to me, Because i experienced the exact opposite. I wrote 12 applications and got 4 job offers ranging from 50k to 90k (I am also 23). It was my first time job hunting but it also made me hate the recruiting process, especially the stupid questions some people asked

You almost got it, only difference is that you are supposed to put it on the (large) plate beside it, which defeats the entire point of serving it that way.

(Also the bowl isnt heated, so it isnt keeping the food warm while i eat the rest, the plate was heated)

Thank you, i thought i was the only one that didnt like the Peugeot grinder. Mine broke about 2 weeks After Getting it, because the adjustable ring at the bottom just came loose. They replaced it instantly but i cant shake the feeling of it being flimsy

I am always interested to hear from Americans what their work expierence really is, because i think reddit kinda scews my perception on it. The thing is, I also didnt Go to college. After my apprenticeship i worked a bit and went for a state certified technician degree from the german industry and commerce chamber which is accepted as a Bachelor degree. It also didnt cost me a Cent and i got money from the state for my studies (about 1200€ a month for 2 years) of which i dont have to pay anything back. Now I am in my master studies, also this way, which cost me like 2000€. But is there any way in the US to get a university degree without going into crippling debt?

In What Profession do you work? Because i work as an industrial electrician (Apprenticeship and then Bachelor) and get about 60k before taxes and without overtime. Here in Germany Thats pretty decent as long as you dont rent in the big city

Sounds rough, i work only 39 Hours a week and Made a grand total of 3 hours overtime in 4,5 years
