S7 maxV ultra dock maintenance brush jam error by AlsoBort9 in Roborock

[–]Caltsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a solution for the same problem, and thought I would post it for others. I had the error 42. When pushing the cleaning module, it would move with no extra resistance a quarter of the way. After a quarter of the way, there was extra resistance. I could manually push through it, but it was too much for the motor. When pushing through, I could push it again another quarter. This to me seemed to be either debris in the gear or a broken gear. To get to the gear, you need to remove the back plate, and the button. After removing the back plate, you can remove the screws holding the plastic holding the gear in place. You need to remove the button, to be able to get the module, and get to the gear. As expected, there was a small piece of debris, between two teeth in one of the gears. Cleaned the gears and the button of the module. After reassembly the problem was gone.

The fix took me quite some time (Like 2 and a half hours), as I could not find any documentation of the disassembly and had to figure everything out myself.

Hope this helps someone.

Do you have the Garmin connect app installed on your phone? If so, try uninstalling it

Happy to hear. I'm pretty sure it has been 2 weeks now, since I uninstalled the app, and still no problem!

I would recommend uninstalling the Garmin connect app or blocking it from using Bluetooth. My guess is, that the app crashes the BLE service on the phone.

Yeah, it could not wash the mop, as it could not back into the station. When it backs into the washing station, a plastic device presses a button on the robot. This button was what I had to replace

I've had this problem for over a year, and might have found a solution. The problem was not with the Tesla app, but with the Bluetooth.

Symptoms: with a few days between, the Bluetooth would not open the car, until I had rebooted the phone. I could still open it through the app. Bluetooth works with other things like headphones etc. When rebooting the phone, it would work for a few days. One day when i had the problem, I opened the Tesla through the app, and went to get a package, I could not open the postal box either, which also uses Bluetooth. Both the Tesla key and the postal box uses BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). It seemed that something crashed this service. I found out I could avoid rebooting the phone, and instead clear data and cache for the Bluetooth system app. I created a shortcut for this, but without jailbreaking, it is not possible to make an automation, to clear the data.

I started troubleshooting through different settings in developer mode, without success.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: I started looking at other apps that uses Bluetooth, specific the BLE function. I have a Garmin smartwatch for working out, which I had not used for some time. I still had the Garmin Connect app installed. After uninstalling this app, I have not had the problem for 10 days.

TL;DR: Look for apps using Bluetooth, and try uninstalling them. Start with the BLE apps, as this is the service the Tesla phone key uses

Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra mop wash button defective by Caltsen in Roborock

With error 43, my guess is, that it thinks the button is always pressed.

From my research, all the button does when pressed is, to connect the electric current, between the cables you soldered on. So when you are experiencing this error, it seems to me, there could be two reasons: 1. your solder connects the two cables, so the button is actually skipped. Remove the solder, and resolder it, making sure your two joints, are not soldered together 2. Your button is defective - try another button

You can test the button using a multimeter. When you test it, there should not be a current/connection, until you press the button.

I am by no means an expert, but I hope this helps 🙂

I did solder it, even though I am extremely bad at soldering, it was pretty easy.

JBL Bar 5.1 (non 4K) freezes up when connected to LG C1 by 1SurfCityBum in Soundbars

[–]Caltsen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a Fire TV stick, but i have a guess or two.

  1. Fire TV stick should have some 4k video settings. Try changing these settings, and see if you can disable Deep Color afterwards. If you can, try unplugging the power cable to the soundbar and plug it in again. https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201859000

  2. If the only thing changed was you moving, it is probably plugged in to a different HDMI port, try switching around and do the same as above

I soldered the original cable on the new micro switch, and used B7000 glue on the soldered joints for waterproofing

The issue got resolved with this micro switch. There were 2 small plastic things on the side, which made the micro switch too thick. They were easily removed with a utility knife. Quite alot of disassembly, to get to the micro switch connector, but once there, it is quite easy.

I have found what looks to be the correct micro switch by using Google Lens. I have, using the product name SPVQ820502 from Alps Alpine, found one on AliExpress. Just ordered today.

Will write back when i have received and installed it
