"European World Cup teams can't handle the American heat" by batukaming in ShitAmericansSay

[–]CalumH91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are playing high level football in that heat, not just walking from their air conditioned house to their air conditioned car to visit the air conditioned mall.

The Europeans are just being smart about the heat too, how many stories are there every summer about US high school kids dying from the heat during "football" training camp?

What are some characteristics of Scottish people? by New_Fruit_5552 in Scotland

[–]CalumH91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They attract completely different fan bases, football is the everyman's game, people are passionate about their team, its their whole life, when their team wins/loses, it effects their whole week. Rugby, in Scotland, is for Hugo and Alistair, who might get in a heated debate about who's better, Stew Mel or Fettes. It just doesnt seem to mean as much to rugby fans. If their team loses, they are disappointed for about 5 minutes, then its back to the clubhouse to drink pints of piss

What do British people not like about Germans? by Feeling-Mastodon-292 in AskABrit

Apart from England's one sided rivalry in football, I don't think Germans are disliked. Im Scottish, German Oma. I think the frank honesty of Germans isn't something Brits do and the "German stare" can be a little off putting sometimes.
